The Baby That Brought Bad Weather,Greta Gertler,Greta Gertler,"An Australian singer-songwriter who plays the Wurlitzer, she has a knack for sunny, ‘70s-style pop. Other hipster chicks get bigger promo pushes, but we find unknown Gertler more satisfying when we have a hankering for well-crafted pop.” – Time Out NY,Adult Alternative Pop/Rock,Singer/Songwriter

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A very, very impressive debut.......2003-10-06

I heard Greta performing on Vin Scelsa's Idiot's delight. I found it hard to believe that somebody this good didn't have a recording contract. This is a self-recorded, self-sold album that's (in my opinion) one of the best albums of the year. I puzzled a little over the Time Out comment about her sounding like 70s pop. More like timeless pop. Perhaps it's the Wurlitzer organ plays to wonderful effect.

5 out of 5 stars Welcome To The World!.......2003-06-22

Uniquely like no one so much as herself, Greta Gertler's sterling debut of timeless intelligent song craft shapes a tellingly indelible imprint. Most notably charged with an alliance of her singular vocal charm and warmth. The beguiling melodies united with lyrical intimacy and passionate arrangments summoned by this Wurlitzer commanding pop mistress, foretell no restrictions to Gertler's considerably distinctive and generous talents. Featuring the grand and elequent sweep released from a multi textured production, alongside an inspired collaboritive ensemble cast, each song provides it's own inimitably desirable reward. Perhaps it is producer Noah Simon and Gertler's ambition to reveal something novel and gloriously incandescent with every visit. In fact they have delivered an unquestionable cause for celebration. For this Baby, dear reader, is the sound of a classic. The delightfully sensuous sound of an artist coming of age. Let us welcome her arrival-
