CLASSIC SOPHIE TUCKER.......2005-12-15

This release on Sepia Records features song material that she recorded for Mercury Records during the 1950s. This is the Sophie Tucker that most people remember and the recordings here are beautifully remastered for great sound. Tucker was the genuine "Queen of Show Business" and this release offers evidence of why she deserved the tag. Three cheers to Sepia for this CD and let us hope that Volume II is on the way. I would love to see her "live" album released in this manner with bonus cuts. You can never have too much Sophie Tucker!!
