The Association will always be best known for their soft rock, romantic ballad, "Cherish." Covered by countless others, including The Partridge Family, it remains a staple of easy listening station formats. The group also had perkier moments, as best captured by the breezy "Windy." The songs that were hits are just as you remember them. Those that didn't get much air play; well, there's a reason.

This music still holds up and I listen to it nearly every day. The Association was a great band and some of the songs on it that got very little airplay at the time, are my favorites. Great music, great group, great cd!

What happen to the remastering in this cd???the sound is poor to say the least!!they could of payed a better tribute to a great group like the Association.we fans deserve better than this!!i recommend the Essentials which is remastered!!

A memory of my youth.......2007-03-14

While there are a handful of songs on this CD that are obscure (to me at least); the Cd as a whole is a fine representation of the Association's multi layered "soft rock" sound. Songs like "Cherish" "Never My love" and "Everything That Touches You" take my back to the "puppy loves" of my youth. And who can listen to "Along Comes Mary" or the group's biggest hit "Windy", without gaining a spring to their step. This is a feelgood CD and a must have for collectors of sixties rock.

Nostalgia at its best........2007-02-24

I first bought this album in 1970 as a 8 track. It was great listening then and its only gotten better.

Oh, that's rich..........2005-04-23

Sure, just take the old Greatest Hits, put it in a cardboard slipcase, and charge a dollar more for it. Right, where do I sign up? I guess Am@zon didn't notice that they're selling this same disc without the slipcase for a dollar less. And I guess Time Warner is hoping that by stamping the Rhino logo on the slipcase, people will be fooled into thinking the disc actually sounds good. This sort of thing would never have happened when Rhino was still an indy...
