Excellent West Coast pop/folk/rock.......2006-06-27

This CD is outstanding, as every one Larson does after this. Great guitars, vocals and production values...The best music you never hear on the radio! "Hey" echoes Byrds but with a Mersey beat. "Carol Ann" blends the jangly Byrds with Beach Boys vocals. "Sarah's Song" blends an Eagles feel with Beach Boys vocals. "Valentine Note" is remeniscent of early Dan Fogelberg. "Lot to Learn" has Gerry Beckley (America) written all over it. "Room For Summer" shows Beach Boys (Jeff Foskett) and America's influence with an Eagles country rock beat. "Lauren" sounds like a ballad Kenny Loggins, Stephen Bishop or Dan Fogelberg might do. "Postcard" could be an early Fogelberg/Eagles ballad 'California Country Rock' style. "The Word Go" combines the Byrds jangly guitars with Beach Boys vocals and backbeat. "Goes Without Saying" sounds like an Eagles ballad with Beach Boys bkg vocals and keyboards. "Her Heart" is a lovely ballad that has America (Beckley) written all over it. "All The Sudden Cool" would be right at home on an early Eagles album, even sounds a bit like Glenn Frey only better! "Lauren" (Orchestral Reprise) sounds like David Foster, Dave Grusin or Hans Zimmer. If you like instrumental movie music, you will like this very emotional song. Bonus track "Carol Ann" vocal/guitar mix is nice and simple, great if you want to learn the guitar & vocals. Finally, bonus track "Room For Summer" alternate version is sparse and simple, a nice contrast to the primary version.

Don't miss this gem.......2001-04-24

Another superb release following on from Watercolor Sky. More excellent songs superbly produced. If you like Gerry Beckley's "Van go gan" then this is for you. He is one of pop music's best kept secrets.

A five-star masterpiece.......2000-11-15

A perfect mixture of Eagles, America, Beach Boys and Jackson Browne. I love it! It is a comforting thought that the legacy of these great artists is in the skilful hands of a young and gifted musician.

Another Gem From Larson.......2000-07-29

I keep this album in my player all day long. I love it. My favorites are Lauren, Sarah's Song, Her Heart, Hey, Carol Ann and the Room For Summer alt version. The fast-paced songs on this album are really fun. My only criticism of this album is that (with the exception of Lauren and Her Heart) it doesn't have enough beautiful ballads that were so prevalent on Larson's previous album ("Song For Renee, "Touch of June"); even still, this is a great album. Anyone who buys this, won't be sorry - you'll become a big fan of Jeff Larson and his music.

Awesome Album From Start to Finish.......2000-07-25

This is one of the best albums I've purchased this year. Every song on the album is good. Larson has a little of everything on this album. There's some great pop/rock songs (Hey!, Sarah's Song, The Word Go, and All the Sudden Cool). He performs one song with Gerry Beckley from America (Carol Ann), which is a great mid-tempo tune. Larson's voice is really beautiful. Perhaps my favorite song on the album is a song titled "Lauren" - a very emotional song with powerful lyrics. It's too bad that Larson doesn't get more exposure because people would love his music.
