Brian Wilson's second full-fledged solo release is a tour de force of his physical art as the former Beach Boy mastermind overdubs himself into a chorale of well-tempered voices. Unfortunately, Wilson's coproduction (with Joe Thomas) leaves these feathery constructions floating on a too-thin instrumental base that comes nowhere near the oomph of Pet Sounds or "California Girls" or even the beaty stepping of Wild Honey. Only a couple of songs, "She Says That She Needs Me" and a retooled "Let Him Run Wild," hint at the sort of darkness that's driven some of Wilson's best work. (A second vintage Boys tune, "Keep an Eye on Summer," is also included.) And it's a mystery why he felt the need to hire Jimmy Buffett to help him construct "South American," Wilson's own "Kokomo." --Rickey Wright

I have no "Yeah, but"s.......2007-07-16

I heard "Prairie Village" on the radio, and loved it, but I didn't love it so much when I bought the CD and heard Remember When, Back Home, and South Bixel, which all seem to have very similar tempos, rhythms and feels. However, that being said, I don't think I've ever heard someone so young so good. He has a very modern sound in his ideas, voicings, and harmonies, yet there is definitely Oscar Peterson in him (he pays tribute to the giant in Place St. Henri). I also really enjoy the mix of electronic elements on this album. It makes me want to check out some more of DJ Logic's material. I loved his "standard" jazz, yet he sounds very much in his element with these more experimental, fusion tunes. So I have to say, here's this guy who's younger most of us, who seems to have much of jazz piano history under his fingers, and his biggest criticism seems to be that he's too technical, not enough soul. First of all, I'd LOVE for my biggest criticism to be that I'm too fast. Secondly, I think the slow tracks on this disc are very touching and beautiful. I don't want to be the type of person who says "Yeah, he's a great PRODIGY"; "He has so much POTENTIAL"; "He'll be one of the greats SOMEDAY." Eldar, you're already there.

Awesome CD!.......2007-07-17

I bought my 3 1/2 year old son this CD after I bought the DVD. We listen to the CD every morning when I'm dropping him off to see Grandmom and he will sing the songs all day long. This CD is a must for any music lover. Even the parents will love this CD. The songs are definitely for the kids, but the music and the beats will have the parents dancing.

MOVE Over Wiggles!.......2007-07-17

OMG - what a breath of fresh air after listening nonstop to the Wiggles for what has seemed like an eternity! The Imagination Movers' songs actually display musical talent and target issues that are important to little kids. My daughter (and my husband) loves "Time Out" - it is just a hillarious take on the toddler-set punishment. I recently ordered the DVD too in the hopes that my daughter (who is 3 1/2) will really bond to them after seeing them and will forget the Wiggles altogether! They are AWESOME! I can play this music in my car and no one who hears it will even be aware that it is children's music. It is thoroughly enjoyable. I can not wait for the Imagination Movers children's show to come out on Disney next year!

We love the Imagination Movers! After seeing them on the disney channel, we decided to purchase the cd for our car rides. We all love them, even my husband and I sing the songs! My personal favorite is the song about going to bed.

Great children's music.......2007-01-18

If you are only going to buy one children's music CD, buy this one. My three year old listens to it all the time. It is fun for adults and children alike. It still sounds good even after the 1000th time of hearing it (and you will hear it a 1000 times). The music is very hip, but the lyrics are written from a toddlers point of view. I especially like "The wah wah song", "one more book" and "Shakeable Fruit". Its obviously written by guys with a sense of humor and young children. Pity I can't give it more than five stars - highly recommended.

Imagination Movers are great performers and singers. My kids, 2 1/2 and 20 mos, just love their music. Highly recommend it.

As unlikely as the idea seems today to use the suspense-filled stories of Edgar Allan Poe as the basis for an album of rock tunes, listeners in the 1970s--who were barraged with such high-flown concepts during the heyday of prog-rock--turned the record into a major hit. The Project actually scored a Top 40 hit with "(The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather." Thanks to FM radio overplay, however, "The Raven" is probably the album's best-known track today. The 1987 CD version of "ToMaI" differs somewhat from the original vinyl. Parsons dropped in synthesizer parts to modernize the album, and added an opening recitation by Orson Welles. But the integrity of the original is maintained well enough, and the album remains a classic excuse to dim the lights, pour a glass of sherry (amontillado, natch), and break out the headphones. --Daniel Durchholz

Luis Mejia (son)- Although the incredible duo of Parsons and Woolfson has always released all their albums alike, this is truly an incredible debut for Alan Parsons in the world of bands. He shows the great experience of being a music engineer. No one expected but less, this album is musically complex, serious and about (casually) my favorite writter, Edgar Allan Poe. Even when it was the last album I heard of them, mainly because it wasn't that famous, I knew in that instant that it was their best. The songs that explode the album's potential are A Dream Within A Dream and The Raven, being both a sound innovation, with electronical arrangements and voice distortion, a mild orchestra and best of all the incredible voice of Alan Parsons. Another song that is expectacular is The Cask Of Amontillado, even though the music is mostly played by an orchestra ,the lyrics about the poem and the incredible voice applied is amazing. The Fall Of The House Of Usher is a song that shouts in every aspects how Parsons know what he's doing, almost a classical composition.

How to forget The Tell-Tale Heart, even when it doesn't express the tension and horror of the poem and it's situation, is another song that fits perfectly. To One In Heaven and (The System Of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether are very popular songs among all their works, appreciated later in time 'cause the album wasn't very popular at the time of the release, but this 2 songs show Parson's inclination to pop and to more comprehensible and soft sounds later expressed in his other works.

The album also starts a long time collaboration and friendship with the singers John Miles and Chris Rainbow. Being a dark, cultural piece it differences a lot from the other of the Project's albums such as Eye In The Sky, but it shoes every little aspect that The Alan Parsons Project showed through their later career.

Casting a dark shadow.......2007-05-16

The first of The Alan Parsons Project albums set the footprint for his career to follow: choose a concept and then base progressive, highly structured and immaculately produced music around it. In the case of "Tales Of Mystery," it was Edgar Allan Poe. My original copy of this was on vinyl, a reissue of the 20th Century Records release with a second version of the cover, depicting a bust of Parsons somewhat wrapped in mummy-bandages. (The long shadow on the CD cover minus the mummy photos was the original cover.) Featuring several of APP's soon to be regular cast, collaborator Eric Woolfson and members of the groups Ambrosia (Parsons produced the debut "Ambrosia") and Pilot, it was the kind of album that got labeled "head music" in the seventies. Perfect for listening to with headphones or while hanging out with friends in a room full of black light posters while probably not 100% sober.

Some 30 years later and more often sober while listening to CD's, this album holds up well for its first half. The trademarks of APP appear in songs like "The Raven" and the instrumental "Dream Within A Dream." There was even a minor hit single as "The System Of Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather" slipped into the lower reaches of the top 40. The album's final Beatlesque ballad, "To One In Paradise," sounds worthy of Abby Road and is indicative of hits to come - think of "Time."

On the other hand, the 15 minute "The Fall Of The House Of Usher" is a soundtrack in search of a video accompaniment. While a younger and more - ummm... - 'stimulated' imagination might have filled in the picture, it now just sounds like background buzz. While I don't mind the stentorian narration Parsons added from Orson Welles for the 1987 CD release, the additional synthesizers and solo guitars are an irritant. They could have left well-enough alone, but since CD technology was the shiny new thing at the time, I don't blame Parsons for wanting to tweak the new version. After all, I still have my 12 inch vinyl.

As far as its place in the APP discography, I probably prefer "I Robot," "Pyramid" and "Eye in the Sky" ahead of "Tales Of Mystery." But for shear audacity (mixing classics of literature with rock music was considered pretty risky in 1976), the Alan Parsons Project debut still can stimulate.

Este disco tiene la particularidad, de que su concepto es basado en los cuentos de edgar allan poe. La introduccion narrada por orson welles es genial, (yo solo la sustituiria por Vincent price, ya que el actuo muchos de los cuentos de poe), luego vienen 3 de las canciones que mas me gustan de toda la discografias de APP, esta son The raven , tell tale heart y cast of amontillado, que dicho sea de paso, son, junto con el asesinato de la rue morge y el pozo y el pendulo, los cuentos de poe que mas me gustan.

Este fue el segundo disco que compre de APP, y sin duda alguna, junto con el de I robot, son mis preferidos.

I love this album. I'm one of the relative few who bought it when it first came out in 1976. But they really shouldn't have messed with it when they decided to release a remastered version. Yes, I love the Orson Welles narration that they added, but the new guitar parts really annoy me. For anyone who listened endlessly to the original LP, the new guitar parts sound very 80's and stand out in a bad way. I wish people would learn to leave well enough alone. Other than the cheesy guitar parts (and the final, totally boring, song), it's a classic album. It's too bad APP went commercial on their next LP, but it happens to the best of them.

Finally.............2007-07-17

I have three copies of the Mobile Fidelity version of this CD from 1994 (because it's so great and I got a couple of them used), but aside from that, you couldn't get the 1976 version of this album on CD until now. I'm amazed that it took so long to release this version. The remastering job that was done on this entire package is amazing, and the booklet and photos show how much care was put into this edition. Doesn't matter whether you prefer the '76 or '87 versions, they both sound phenominal.

As for me, I prefer the '76 version because it sounds much more haunting, especially "Fall of the House of Usher". I would never argue with what Orson Welles' narration brought to the newer version, it's great. I just feel that the older version was more organic and more intense. This is one of those albums to put on headphones after midnight and listen start to finish. It doesn't even seem like separate songs, it's one whole piece with so many different moods that set up each other.

For example, after the "Prelude" to "Fall of the House of Usher", cracks of thunder, an ominous organ, and then a deceptively pleasant melody for "Arrival", and then Intermezzo, which sounds eerie enough intself before "Pavane". This is such a gentle piece with mainly harpsichord and harp that sets up and gradually segues into the brutal "Fall". This part is so much more frightening on the '76 version, and part of it is due to the way it begins creeping through in the last 30 seconds of "Pavane". I'm sure you'll get a chill from "Fall", especially if you've closed your eyes and imagined the story of the "Fall of the House of Usher" through each part. Finally, after that, "To One in Paradise", which sounds like Poe's biography in four minutes. Or, as Eric Woolfson put it, an epitaph.

With some Alan Parsons fans who are only familiar with the albums from "I Robot" on, you might not know about this one because it was originally issued on another label and took so long to be released on CD (at least, the original version was). Also, it didn't really have any hit singles, even though a couple were released and didn't chart all that high. Don't miss out on this new reissue. In addition to getting both versions, you get some great bonus tracks that feature an informative interview with Parsons and Woolfson, some demos, and the great original Orson Welles voice parts.

Finally, I need to take a minute here. Kudos to a classic rock station in Kansas City, I think it was KYYS. I was there in 2004, and they not only played "System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether", but they played the original version!

ABSOLUTELY SUPERB EDITION.......2007-07-02

This set caps the re-release of the first four AP-supervised remastered titles (three more to follow in September '07, and the final three in December).

For this edition, for the first time on CD, we finally get the original 1976 mix of the album that started it all. While I definitely prefer the '87 remix, there are passages in the original I also enjoy, so it's great to finally be able to compare the two, especially in glorious, remastered form.

In the additional material, there are two excellent spoken-word pieces: One, Orson Welles' entire original recitation, sans music/effects, and also a very enjoyable 8+ minute 1976 radio interview with AP and EW.

The booklet is a wonderful, detailed labor of love, with a great essay.

If you're an APP fan, this is an absolute must-own.

AWESOME.......2007-02-18

This CD is so much fun. I wish I had seen this group while living in New Orleans with my kids. Both of my boys, ages 2 and 4, request this music when we are in the car. The song FARM is my favorite! I love listening to it as well. It appeals to kids and adults (especially those of us in our 30's).

I have written a review for each of the Imagination Movers products and this one is no different.

It seems my girls are growing up with the Imagination Movers. This CD seems geared for older children(4-12?) with songs about losing teeth, playing tag and friends moving away.

I listened to the song about Katrina and checked their website. I read how they lost everything.

My girls love this CD and are glad they have some new music. We bought the DVD but that had music from their two CDs except "Junk."

Still waiting for them to come to Oregon. Please Movers (if you read this) come to the capital of Oregon - Salem!

The Movers Rock!.......2007-03-13

My 2-year-old loves these guys! Ever since the first time she saw them on Playhouse Disney, they have been her favorite. And now they're mine! All of their songs are loaded with good messages and I love all the musical influences. Each song is different and great in its own way. I just cannot say enough good things about the Movers, and especially this album. Check out "Looking Out the Window" (one of my favorites) and "First Day of School" (my daughter's favorite, along with "I Want My Mommy" from "Good Ideas"). We also bought the Movers' "Good Ideas" album and love that as well (although personally, I prefer this one!). :-)

Fun for Parents, too!.......2007-02-18

This music is GREAT. We are from New Orleans, but unfortunately never attended an Imagination Movers performance! I am kicking myself now. My sons, ages 4 and 2, request this music every time we get in the car. And I enjoy listening and singing along, too. It's like good adult music with kid lyrics. Can't beat it! Thanks you guys.

Plucked from a wet afternoon of busking Bizet and Puccini to passersby on the Piazza in Covent Garden in the spring of 2001, soprano Rebecca Knight and mezzo Karen England soon found themselves singing in slightly larger venues: the FA Cup and Champions League soccer finals. That the management company doing the plucking had recently performed a similar Cinderella crossover act for Russell Watson offered portent, and indeed the Babes--the moniker began as a joke--were soon on their way to this recording debut. The marketing shtick and its soccer connections may offend purists, but it's the football hooligans that the Babes are trying to win over here; can Borodin soothe the savage Manchester United fan? Their classically trained voices mesh gloriously, with England's warm mezzo showing particular character in her solo turns.

The repertoire choices here cover material that may already be familiar to fans of Charlotte Church (i.e., Delibes "Flower Duet") and other crossover acts, but they do include some pleasant surprises, like Offenbach's Barcarolle from The Tales of Hoffmann and "You Live On in My Heart," a reworking of Ennio Morricone's enchanting Cinema Paradiso theme with lyrics by Knight. But in a rush toward the musical middle of the road, it's the productions themselves that sometimes overwhelm the Babes with bathos ("Ave Maria"), hollow thunder ("Aida 2002"), and electro club kitsch (the 'Vibe Tribe' mix of "Flower Duet"). Former Art of Noise mainstay Anne Dudley's tastefully restrained coloring of Tchaikovsky's "1001 Nights" is one of the notable exceptions. They're babes, they sing opera--with fair promise--for the masses, and if they turn one in a hundred from football hooliganism to a well-mannered appreciation of Grieg and Dvorák, won't it all have been worth it? --Jerry McCulley

Sloppy renditions and amateurish.......2007-05-15

I heard one of the selections on Sirius and liked it so I bought the CD. Upon hearing the entire CD I was disappointed that the only selection I liked was the one that prompted me to buy the product. The voices are nice but they are simply adding voice to opera masterpieces that do not fit. They are certainly not of the caliber of Sarah Brightman or Charlotte Church and don't look for that. Their sound is mellow, dim and without the emotion that does an inservice to the opera pieces they sing. I found the CD lackluster and in all honestly very "amateurish".

Great songs reinvented, with a twist.......2006-09-30

Expanding upon the recent interest in Gregorian chant fusion as well as rich-voiced solo vocalists such as Josh Groban, operatic soprano Rebecca Knight and mezzo soprano Karen England offer full-vibratoed, somewhat modernized interpretations of favorite classical themes. Backed by chorus, orchestras, keyboards and drums, they draw from such diversely satisfying works as Puccini's opera "Madame Butterfly," Grieg's "Piano Concerto in a minor," Dvorak's "New World Symphony," Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream," Orff's "Carmina Burana," Delibe's "Lakme," Beethoven's "Ode to Joy," Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," Offenbach's "The Tales of Hoffman," Schubert's "Ave Maria," and Verdi's "Aida." Some of the arrangements are fairly traditional, while others are noticeably enhanced. The emphasis tends to be on pretty pieces with sweet melodies, though a few are more intense in nature (#1, 4, 5, 15 and 17). A couple of pop songs, still sung in operatic style, are thrown in for good measure, although they don't have the same appeal and mystique as the old favorites. All of the selections feature both vocalists together, singing in lovely, close harmony. The arrangers of this elegantly hip music include Jon Cohen, Noely, Frank Gallagher, Deni Lew and Anne Dudley, with multi-language lyrics (for the adaptations of instrumental works) by Rebecca Knight and others. I have to admit that I occasionally found myself longing for the modern additions to be more consistently interesting and distinctive--in other words, equaling the artistry of the classics that they're accompanying. Track #1, which really shines, is a well-done example. Alternately, perhaps the source songs might have been better off left in their pure, original styles rather than watered down with schmaltzy, predictable underpinnings that don't add much to the music. But like Enigma did for medieval chant, the Opera Babes are endeavoring to bring some wonderful, time-tested music to a wider audience, fusing it with modern idioms in way that is artistic and generally appealing. For more opera fusion, compare the work of Amici Forever (a group of five singers, both male and female), and the oddly packaged but similar-in-concept album "Coco de Mer" by Adam Plack.

Praise for Beyond Imagination.......2006-02-26

What I really enjoyed about this album was its distinctive sound and arrangement of the material. I enjoy classically performed opera and was surprised how much I like the Opera Babes' versions. Of course, the wonderful voices added immensely to the high quality of this product.

Another Dungeon Master's opinion.......2005-05-17

This disc really delivers! Not only is it great background for gaming sessions but the music definitely stands on it's own as cool listening/driving music. Dynamic pieces, a lot of instrumental variety, and just enough sound effects to enhance the mood.

As far as it's application to a game situation - I have to say this is the best fantasy RPG soundtrack I've ever heard (that seems to be the general consensus from the other DMs I've talked to on the convention circuit). The other soundtrack attempts before this one really pale in comparison in my opinion.

When I have the time, I like to go through all of my soundtracks and piece together a custom soundtracks for my games. This disc mixed with some Conan and any of the LOTR scores makes for a powerful combo.

More than often I don't have the time to devote to that. I'm pleased to say that in every session where I've JUST played this disc in the background, it's worked very well. A bit on the dark side but for a dungeon crawl I can think of no better music.

The coolest Gaming and Riding.......2005-01-21

I went to Amazon looking for more afordable book than the ones I had just bougth at Hastings and suddenly, I met a CD by the name of Dungeons and Dragons. I was not a Midnight Syndicate fan before mind you, but after hearing this CD in converted and now I am looking forward to gettineg other CDs by them. The tracks in it are great 2/3 of them are not gloomy or rather mysterious. But this makes sence when you are "descending into the depths" or looking in a secret chamber. I love the"Prelude" because it sets the mood of a Fantasy like wolrd, the harp is really cool too. I loved "Craft of the Wizard" and the one also after that. It is like a march and then there is some catapults hurling stones. I also like the sword sound effects. They sound metally but hey most swords are thin (except Claymores):> But the Best song of them all would have to be "City of Sails" It is great, It sounds like Final Fantasy VIII a little but its great. The great thing about this music is that you can picture the action thats going on. I pictured myself riding a horse to victory. It is also great listening to it while in the car, especially in the morning because it wakes you up and puts you in a "triumphant" mood. Also I wrote some poetry while listening to "Ruins of Bone Hill" and when i read it aloud with the music it gave it a great effect.

So all in all This is One of the few great buys that i have loved right off the bat.
I hope you enjoy it as well.

A GameMaster's Review.......2004-10-12

I agree in great part with the review by Ryan Marshall. I'll note that I have not listened to any other Midnight Syndicate works before this one, but I am making an effort to be objective.
My favorite tracks are the two `bonus' tracks, Ruins of Bone Hill and City of Sails.

The quality of this music (if you don't mind that it's synthesized and can appreciate this sort of thing) is a 4/5, which is a fairly high rating from me.

But as far as this music can be applied to roleplaying is a 2/5 at best...

Here's the problems:

1) The music all seems to have the dark/eerie flavor that seems to be the staple of Midnight Syndicate. This severely limits the themes, moods, and instrument sets that were used. The only exception is City of Sails. While this does not detract from the quality of the music itself, it would still be nice to have more variety in a collection that is supposedly `official roleplaying music'.

2) I rarely found that the intended setting for each track actually suited the music, but the sound effects that were included made it unusable for anything else.
For example, Beasts of the Borderland seemed to me to be a great track for an army on the march, until I started hearing strange `beast' noises that seemed out of place.

3) Speaking of out of place sound effects, I found that many of the sound effects were ambiguous, unfulfilling, or outright mood-spoiling.
For example, in both Skirmish and Final Confrontation, you hear the `clash of swords' at certain times. However, these `swords' sound like pieces of tin slapping against one another with minimal force rather than actual swords. Who uses tin swords? Besides, not all `skirmishes' in roleplaying actually involve swords...

Side Note: Many portions of the melodies were familiar and some outright recognizable as being nearly identical to some of those used in older console RPGs. Perhaps it was from such games that they drew their inspiration. It would have to be a very big coincidence otherwise.

If you are a roleplayer and/or enjoy background music and aren't penny pinching or if you are a Midnight Syndicate fan, then you will probably want to buy this anyway. But I would not recommend this collection to anyone else.

Midnight Syndicate Critique.......2004-09-22

I would give this product a 4 1/2 if I could. I will be honest, Its not the most spectacular album in the world, but it does fit its purpose exactly. From the core of your game until its over...You will enjoy this product completely! Th attitude and ambience it creates for RPG gamers (particularly D&D) just what the Master ordered. It fits extremely well into any game, as well as car or relaxation music. Overall: great product!

Only a gamer can make a class act sound track........2004-08-17

Midnight syndicate does it again with their sound track for the D&D game. The music is thoughful, playful, and powerful. Perfect for any campaign or a drive in the car.
Once again it is a great feeling seeing another home grown product from the Midnight Syndicate. After all they started as gamers and have not forgotten their roots.

There's no arguing with the power of Sissel's voice. The Norwegian soprano brought James Horner's Titanic to life and blew people away at the Lillehammer Olympics' opening ceremony. Positioned as a classical crossover performer, Sissel's talent and versatility gets her into trouble. The 12-song My Heart bounces back and forth from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Franz Schubert, from Astor Piazolla to Ennio Morricone. These different composers are reconciled into one album by her talent. She's less successful with a so-so version "Ave Maria," but does better with Puccini's tear-jerker aria "O Mio Babbino Caro." Things go aesthetically awry when the singer (who has recorded folk music in the past) dives into folk-pop with "Angel Eyes" and then spin completely out of control on Richard Marx's "Someone Like You," which is a jarring stab at light R&B. Seemingly formulated by marketing team, My Heart may succeed at getting radio airplay in different formats, but it's an album that loses its way at times. --Tad Hendrickson

Once again, Sissel's crystal-clear, bell-like voice is complemented with beautiful songs & lush orchestrations. Among standouts: "Mon coeur s'ouvre a la voix," "O Mio Babbino Caro" and "Deborah's Theme." Sissel also does a beautiful job with "Pie Jesu," although I would have liked to have heard it as a duet. Even though there is not quite as diverse a repertoire as "Into Paradise" - which better showcases her voice (hence, the 4-star rating) - the album as a whole is wonderful and highly recommended.

Sub par for 'Goddess of Song'.......2007-02-07

The first Sissel CD I bought was "Into Paradise" where her astounding, sonorous tones are allowed full breadth of expression. This album, however, I was slightly disappionted in. The song selection does not appeal to me as well or emphasize her voice as fully. Still, as a record it is very lovely. It depends on what you expect...

I recently discovered Sissel via her CD, Into Paradise. I particularly like the compositions which allow Sissel to demonstrate her range. The songs Pie Jesu and Ave Maria being two good examples. There are some performances on this CD which edge easily into what might be called contemporary or popular music. This woman simply has a beautiful voice and is a pleasure to listen to.

I have loved Imagination forever. All I have had for years is the cassette. I had Body Talk and In the Heat of the Night. One is a white cassette with blue words and the other is a white cassette with red words. Funny that I remember that since i haven't played it for years. Anyways, this cd has most of my favorites on it. I am missing a few songs, but that is okay, the main goodies are on this disc. It is amazing that even though the songs are quite dated, they still sound just as good and wonderful as they did 15 years ago. I hear that Leee John is putting out Jazz music. I haven't heard it, but based on Imagination, I can only think that it is excellent. Great music! Great band! 5 stars!

All the "Imagination" You'll Ever Need to Get.......2002-03-07

Ahh... we all remember the sunny days of summer '82 when Imagination was THE best European disco act around... Imagination, a trio out of France, cranked out hit after hit, and this compilation has them all.

The band had a sound all of its own, in the middle of the crazy European disco scene. The up-tempo songs are still the best: Just an Illusion (their big break-through hit in 1981), Music and Lights, Flashback, Changes, Looking at Midnight (albeit regretfully here in the "single" version), New Dimensions, State of Love, Burnin' Up, and on and on... The ballads are not bad either (such as Body Talk, In and Out of Love, etc).

This compilation is what anyone interested in Imagination would ever want. All the hits are here, and as a bonus, there is a "Megamix" tagged on as well. Classify this as a "guilty pleasure": this isn't serious music, but oh so enjoyable!!
