5 out of 5 stars How do you describe Stan Rogers?.......2004-10-26

I remember doing a couple of radio shows, and I would play Stan, and his brother Garnet's music all the time. Funny, but I would get calls from the other dj's asking me who this guy was. The funny part is that the people calling were from all walks of life. One guy was a country dj, another had a heavy metal show, another did a spoken word show, and this one dude was all politics and ecclectic music. It didn't matter if they hated folk music, they loved Stan Rogers. It didn't matter if they hated East Coast music, they loved Stan Rogers. This says it all about this man's music, and vision. It transcends everything and hits you square between eyes. You can't describe it, you have to hear it, then you'll feel it, and you won't forget it. Timeless, powerful, and unique, there is only a handful of musicians with this gift. Don't miss out.

4 out of 5 stars Haunting Stan.......2003-05-23

This is one of the better of Stan Rogers albums. There are beautiful lyrics and raw emotion. Turnaround is a good example. This is a thnking man's album.

5 out of 5 stars A candle still burning brightly........2001-04-04

There are many good songs on all of Stan Rogers' albums. There are many good albums, the best being "Fogerty's Cove," "Between the Breaks," "From Fresh Water," and most importantly, this one. Just give a listen to the "Song of the Candle" and you will hear what I mean. I don't care how many times I have heard this song, it always gives me gooseflesh and a lump in my throat. God, could this guy sing. And write! Don't deprive yourself of a truly fine album of songs by a master. Other highlights include the old Archie Fisher tune "Oh No, Not I," "Bluenose," and the title tune. I treasure the day I was first introduced to Stan Rogers and this is a prime reason.

5 out of 5 stars This recording is very mood -provoking, vintage Stan Rogers.......1998-09-25

This was my first recording by Stan Roger, after being introduced to him on the CBC. The classic songs like the "Bluenose" and the "Jeannie C" reach out and touch my soul. Some of the songs on the album have a more Country/Western feel and are good, although I like his maritime songs best.

1 out of 5 stars no hooks here! In fact, I'm lost........2005-01-06

I guess it's "like 'em" or "hate 'em" with Westlife. The problem is that I love most euro boybands. Their freshman album even had 1 or 2 strong tracks but this collection is weak. It has no hooks! Nothing sticks in my head. I guess they're going through the motions of song writing and tossing in a few poorly produced covers. Westlife may be forever scarred from the whipped cream to mouth sessions offered on auditions day by Ronan Keating. It's no wonder why close to no one in the USA has heard of them. My advice for 'the team' before any of these songs even got to the pre-production phase would have been, lose those industry knee pads you all wear and think for yourselves.

1 out of 5 stars I HATE IT!.......2004-12-14

This [...]! Dont even consider buying this!
When there is so much good music in the world, then why buy this Crap??!!

5 out of 5 stars Their best album yet.......2004-07-12

With their fifth album, "Turnaround" is by far Westlife's best album. If you're a fan of great pop music, then this is the album for you.

Track One: Mandy - A cover of the Barry Manilow classic, at first I was worried about this song being on the album, however, any worries that I had soon disappeared as soon as I listened to it. Westlife once again take a classic song, and make it their own, without changing it beyond recognition.

Track Two: Hey Whatever - The first single from the album, Hey Whatever is not your typical Westlife track. It's fun and upbeat, and unlike anything on the radio today.

Track Three: Heal - Another great song. Once again, not a ballad, this mid-tempo song shows off the vocal talents of every single 'Lifer and makes you realize why they are so popular.

Track Four: Obvious - My personal favourite on this album. Obvious is what you've come to expect from Westlife, an amazing ballad. However, this ballad is different from others that Westlife have done. It's unique and different, but has an amazing build up throughout the song that you just can't help but feel the emotions sung about in the song.

Track Five: When A Woman Loves A Man - More your typical Westlife ballad, some say that this song should have been on an earlier album. While it is a song you'd expect to hear from Westlife, this ballad once again, has amazing vocals, as well as amazing music, and the two together make it an amazing song.

Track Six: On My Shoulder - This song is another ballad, however, like many of the ballads on the album it is unlike any ballad you've heard before. With a more earnest sound to it, this song is bound to be one of your favourites.

Track Seven: Turnaround - The title track of the album is once again not something that you'd expect from Westlife. This upbeat track is a great addition to the album, showing just how much the group has changed since their very first album.

Track Eight: I Did It For You - Written by Diane Warren, this is an amazing ballad. Like many of her other songs, this one portrays the emotion most written about in songs, love. Westlife take her song and have created an unforgettable ballad, and it ranks up there with the best of Diane Warren's songs.

Track Nine: Thank You - Another mid to up tempo song, this song once again helps show the growth that the group has gone through musically since the release of their first album.

Track Ten: To Be With You - A cover of the Mister Mr. song, once again Westlife show thier ability to make a song their own, without changing it completely. By updating the musical aspect of the song, they make it accessible to a whole new generation.

Track Eleven: Home - My least favourite track on the album, which is saying a lot as I still love it. Home takes your typical pop ballad formula and changes everything about it. Once again showing off the vocal talents of the group, which is the very reason they have sold so many albums, and been around for so long.

Track Twelve: What Do They Know? - A clever shot at the media, this song examines the fact that people always see the bad things, and never the good things. While this song is written about a relationship, it is obvious that it also talks about the media's obsession with saying that the group is splitting up. It's the perfect song for any diehard Westlife fan.

Once again, Turnaround is Westlife's best album to date. With over 32 million albums sold worldwide, 12 UK number one singles, five sold out tours, and the only "boyband" to release five albums and still be going strong, Westlife proves that they are not your typical boyband.

In fact, they are the exception to every rule. Even with the departure of one of their members, they are planning their sixth album with the all new four-peice Westlife to prove once and for all that Westlife are Unbreakable. Add this album to your collection, and you won't be disappointed. And while your at it, check out their others: "Westlife", "Coast To Coast", "World Of Our Own" and "Unbreakable - The Greatest Hits Volume One"

5 out of 5 stars Different....but still great........2004-01-20

The songs in this album are not the traditional "Westlife" style songs. You will need a bit of time to adjust to this change. However, it won't be too difficult. The songs are still great and as enjoyable as their previous hits like "My Love" or "Unbreakable". My favourites are "When a woman loves a man" and "Heal". I like everything about this album except the picture used as the CD cover.

Tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley brought real consistency to his many Blue Note dates, as well as an individualistic style that blended an almost languid sound with rhythmically acute phrasing. Two sessions held two years apart contribute to this CD, and they demonstrate Mobley's ease in two quite different quintets. Four of the tracks come from a 1965 session that joins Mobley's mellow tenor with the crackling trumpet of Freddie Hubbard. "The Turnaround," a hard-bop boogaloo number in the style of Lee Morgan's "Sidewinder, has drummer Billy Higgins and pianist Barry Harris reprising their "Sidewinder" roles. But it's Mobley's unusually abbreviated, carefully matched phrases that make the strongest impression.

"My Sin" is a fine vehicle for Mobley's ballad art, a fluidly romantic approach that's alert to the tune's every nuance, while "Straight Ahead" and the brisk "Pat 'n' Chat" contain enough turns to inspire fluidly twisting lines from Hubbard and Mobley. A 1963 session with trumpeter Donald Byrd, pianist Herbie Hancock, and drummer Philly Joe Jones contributes two tracks. Mobley keeps finding new directions in a solo full of surprises on his modal "East of the Village," then wraps Sacha Distel's "The Good Life"--unusual fare on a hard-bop date--in the warm breathiness of his horn's lower register. --Stuart Broomer

4 out of 5 stars Hardly dispensable.......2006-05-21

If you're a Mobley fan (I confess I'm pretty much a completist when it comes to Hank), you'll probably want to add this one to your collection. The title tune is quite negligible, a "Sidewinder" wannabe, but there is much of compositional and solo worth on each of the other five tracks. "The Good Life" is some of the warmest Mobley on record, and "Pat 'N Mike" is an ingenious and infectious Mobley melody featuring a inspired Freddie Hubbard trumpet solo ahead of Hank's equally strong turn. The liner notes make some inane comment about the difference between the 1963 and 1965 sessions represented on this disc as demonstrating the "evolution" in Mobley's playing, but the tenor giant sounds equally compelling on both occasions (though his later attempts to come up with a "harder, hipper" sound would eventually contribute to his undoing).

I wouldn't purchase "The Turnaround" ahead of "Soul Station" or "Workout" or, for that matter, the Jazz Messengers' or Miles Davis' dates with Hank Mobley on Columbia/Sony or the Donald Byrd sessions with Hank that were recorded originally on Transition. But it's a solid outing, more vital and electrifying than the recently reissued "Hi Voltage."

[If you have an earlier edition, by all means take a pass on this remastered "RVG Edition," on which sound imaging is non-existent, with the notable exception of "The Good Life." On the other tunes tenor is confined to the left channel, trumpet to the right. Count yourself fortunate if you have a playable monaural LP.]

5 out of 5 stars The Turnaround! Mobley's best!!.......2004-11-29

This is my favorite Mobley recording and I own all of his records, it's something about this session that's special 'The Turnaround' sounds just as good as the 'Sidewinder' not taking anything form Lee Morgan and then my favorite track 'East Of The Village' is worth the price of admission by itself but then Mobley plays some of his best ballads on this album covering 'Good Life' beautifully along with 'My Sin' and then probally his best written hard bop numbers with 'Straight Ahead' and 'Pat n' Chat' just listen to Mobley play the changes on 'Pat n' Chat' enough of my ramblin' just get it, essential recording.

4 out of 5 stars Good, solid Mobley.......2001-11-25

As Bob Blumenthal points out in his liner note, the two sessions included here are especially instructive in understanding Mobley's evolution as a player. The 1963 tracks are from the "middle period" exemplified by "Soul Station," in which he perfected his smooth "round sound." On the '65 tracks his tone is sharper and harder, his phrases shorter. Like Blumenthal I prefer the earlier stuff, but there's certainly nothing wrong with the later session (except maybe for the title track, which is one of those rinky-dink "Sidewinder" clones that seemed to lead off every Blue Note date between about '63 and '66.) His reading of "The Good Life" is especially moving. in the original liner notes Mobley says that he'd like to record an album of ballads; this performance makes me wish he'd actually done so. You should, of course, start your Mobley collection with "Soul Station," but this one makes a nice second or third choice.

5 out of 5 stars Unsung giant.......2001-10-03

Hank Mobley is really on of the few unsung giants in jazz. When other so called "stars" are eager to impose their own twisted personality to music Hank Mobley let's the music speak on it's own terms. The result is pure music. Listen to "East of The Village" to see my point. This track has one of Hank`s most awesome solos ever committed to disc. But the whole album is a joy as there is not one weak link in the line-up. This alongside "No Room for Squares" is my personal favourite Hank Mobley album.

4 out of 5 stars hardbop homerun.......2000-10-31

first, a note about the reissue-- it is different from the vinyl version!! blue note reworked this album, "no room for squares" and "straight no filter" to better represent the recording sessions that resulted in the albums. that being said, this cd is wonderful! it reveals mr. mobley as a songwriter, something often overlooked in surveys of his career. on this set, we find him exploring both cookers and ballads, and tinkering with form, often exploding the standard 32 bar format of most jazz tunes. the songs themselves are tight and swinging. particular highlights are the title track, a blues vamp full of that unique blue note soul; the cooking "east of the village" and "straight ahead," which are both classic workouts with excellent soloing. the ballads ("the good life" and "my sin") are mellow and rich like coffee by candlelight. an interesting note is that tracks 1, 4-6 and 2-3 are by different bands, but the same format. this gives a golden opportunity to compare some other blue note artists. the first band features guests freddie hubbard on trumpet and gene harris on piano, while the second brings in kenny dorham and herbie hancock on trumpet and piano, respectively. both bands are solid and click together. a fine album.

5 out of 5 stars One of the most underated rap albums of all times.......2006-04-22

Can you tell me why a rap group like Real Live never made it in this game? They are one of the most talented group of all times, dope beats and excellent lyrics. I see on a daily basis so called artists like Nelly selling millions of albums. Come on people, there are a lot of stars in the world today and their voice and style is like begging for mercy. I give this album 5 stars, even if they didn't make it they will always be remembered for their realness and their good music. I know is hard to obtain a copy of their CD but it definitely pays your efforts!

5 out of 5 stars K-DEF & LARRY-O be on some Real Live S@#T!!!!!.......2005-09-08

Having had the opportunity to hear the album, as it was eing created, I wondered what the world would think about this crew from Jersey, Passaic and Hackensack, respectively. I already knew they were dope. We all grew up together rocking rhymes, beats and life. K-DEF has always been dope as a DJ and beat maker, since 1980, when we started ryhming together in the 5th grade. LARRY-O was always dope on the mic, since we met up in 1987. When they came together as "The Get Right Crew" in 1989 it was magical. And, as "REAL LIVE" they created a classical piece of Hip Hop. Unfortunately, they didn't get the opportunity to flourish as a group. K-DEF went on to produce joints for "Lords of the Underground", "LL Cool J", "World Renonwn", GhostFace Killah" and others. And by the way, that's my peoples. ONE.

I write because I suffer, Inc. (Passaic NJ)

These cats, K-Def, and Larry O were around since the 1980's but were only background limelighter's and album producers. They were told that they can rap, but were not ready for the rap game yet. So they continued to be what they were, someone else's shadow.

When Marley Marl had the group on his show, he asked them to give a couple of Freestyles, and when they did, Marl almost fell off his seat. They ruled! 4 out of 5 stars I don't know what happend..........2004-04-12

...These guys had a hit with "Real Live S**t" and the remix, but after that - they were outta here!

I first heard of these guys listening to the then Marley Marl and Pete Rock show, Future Flavors on one of thos so-called 'Hot' stations who keep playing the same songs over and over and over and over again in NYC and I am sure across the nation. I miss Marley marl. I loved the way he would only play it if it was hot regardless of who you were or how much money you had to pay people off. WBLS, you messed up big time!!

Now, Marley marl would play these guys on his show. I would keep hearing hot beat after hot beat. While I was not crazy about Larry O's look and the whole 70's vibe that people in the 1990's thought was going to be big again (damn those non-creative fashion designers...), the beats were hot! Even the title song was hot! I believe they had a video for it. This was one of the most underrated albums. I just don't know what happened. They had Rap City rotation. You would think that something would have made them more visible. I tried to put them on to a friend of mine, but he could not and would not get down with them. I asked why, all he could say was the look, the name...

While they may not be around anymore(?), I would say that picking this one up you can't go wrong. If for nothing else, to hear what I thought was going to be - a stunna. 70% of the songs are hot with some of the hottest beats ever heard. The rest are ok. If I was a rapper, I would have to put some of those beats on my next single!

The only drawback is a lot of the subject matter. In the mid 90's,rapper were stuck on the Italian mob personas and the 'I'm the biggest drug dealer in the world' personas. Cleary these topics are false, just as all of these rappers (still) talking about the many ways to kill people today. I like varied topics. I hate hearing about amazing feats that were never true, but presented as true. Too many rappers talk that. There are many rappers that people never heard of and for good reason. These guys you may not have heard of, but this album was hot.

5 out of 5 stars hopefully this way raise the average!.......2004-02-19

it deserves every star. This intelligent gangsters with the ultimate smooth and hardcore rapping voices have some incredible soundscapes to weave their voice over, and they do it well!
Quite a few standouts, although is not a straight through listen, most of the tracks are quite incredible!

Definate recommended buy for fans of "REAL" hardcore east coast... not some braveheart "I pop gats" ish!

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as the Face to Face or Unbreakable albums........2007-01-12

My favorite songs on this C.D. are Turn Around (a great, upbeat song) and When a Woman Loves a Man (a beautiful ballad). I also like Mandy (I was skeptical of it at first because it's a Barry Manilow song, but it's nicely done and grows on you). I'm starting to like Obvious.

Some songs are in a different style. Hey Whatever sounds something like To Be With You. Not a typical Westlife sound. I think there are other songs in that style, too. I don't like that many songs on this album, so I'd recommend Face to Face or Unbreakable for better Westlife music. They are a really wonderful group and I plan on getting more of their C.D.'s such as Coast to Coast and World of Our Own because I have listened to samples on this web site and they seem promising. A lot of times samples of import C.D.'s are not available on Amazon, but they are available at Barnes & Noble and Borders Books if you go to the C.D. section and put on the headphones. Borders has snippets from their new one, The Love Album. This makes things easier because you do not want to potentially waste money on an import C.D. when you have never heard the music.

5 out of 5 stars What A Turnaround!!!.......2004-04-21

I really enjoyed this CD, from the beginning to the end and back. It has a more mature sound and rhythm. It has songs like the old school ballads and new uptempo tunes. To mention some of them, Obvious 10/10 is one of the best songs in the CD, another one is the catchy Thank You 10/10. I also like the song Lost In You 10/10 because it is a brand new style for the guys, yet they succeeded, it has a Babyface kind-of-rhythm. The covers are also OK. Perhaps this is the my last review on Westlife, it's a shame Bryan quit the group. Westlife has always been, is and will always be the best group ever. Keep It Going Guys!!!

5 out of 5 stars Different and BETTER.......2004-03-24

Who ever thought that the last four Westlife albums could have been improved upon. Well Tha lads of westlife told us that this album was going to be there best yet, and when I furst listened to it I whole heartedly agreed with them. The Ballad Kings, Westlife did not disappoint with their heart felt ballads such as the cover of Barry Manilow's Brandy- "Mandy," "Obvious," "Heal" and "What Do They Know?" The ballads were more heartfelt than ever (due to the then pending wedding of member Shane Filan and the likewise recently hitched Nicky Byrne?).

Newer songs such as "Hey Whatever," "Turnaround," and "Thank You" introduced the listener to a more upbeat/updated sound the lads had not presented us with before. While Westlife is in no danger of ridding themselves totally of their staple ballads, and going it the "Hey Whatever" direction anytime soon, these three newer style songs were a definant step towards slowly altering their sound so they can evolve and change as the public's tastes change as well ...

"Obvious" is most definantly the best song on the whole album, however, and was the second single they released from this album. It was also the last single they released before member Bryan McFadden left Westlife and the spotlight to devote himself to his family and to watch his little children grow.

The maturity of this album, in comparisson to their last four, is astounding. Gone is the bubblegum pop sound, and I even dare say that this world famous pop group is boardering more on adult contemporary now than the teen pop genre where they began. Whatever your opinion, Westlife has proved in "Turnaround" that they are no longer a boyband ... with three of the five happily married, and them all in their mid 20's, they have evolved and are now a bonified, full-fledged vocal group.

If Westlife (now a four sum) continues to put out albums such as this one, of this quality, they will be around for a very very long time. Good at ya lads, and brilliant work.

5 out of 5 stars It Takes Some Getting Used To.......2004-03-05

I must admit that when I first put the CD in my CD player I was unsure of the album, but after listening to it a couple of times I've found that I love this album almost as much as Westlife's other albums. I absolutely love "Hey Whatever" "What Do They Know" and "When A Woman Loves A Man." This album definitely has a more mature feeling to it, I must say that I enjoy it. "Hey Whatever" is an uptempo song, that makes you want to sing along with it. "What Do They Know" and "When A Woman Loves A Man" are the traditional ballads.
This album is definitely different from their past albums, but there are still some similarities, and it's still the same Westlife.
A definite must buy!

3 out of 5 stars If Paul DeLay could just Sing...........2007-04-14

I bought this and thought there would be some variety, but his band doesn't ever really 'let go' and this man's voice has the same tenor and texture throughout the whole CD....Why not some acoustic change at least? SOMETHING/ANYTHING! As for Paul's harp skills, both chromatic and diatonic are outstanding, but if the harp didn't carry the songs, his singing approach sure wouldn't! I guess Texas blues and players from that genre just have more gutsy and emotional sounding riffs...DeLays jazzy riffs are catchy but Stevie Wonder's chromatic would blow DeLay off the stage and Kim Wilson's diatonic attack would bring him to his knees! There's room for everybody though and Paul's been around making people happy for a long time. Check out Heavy Rotation.

5 out of 5 stars A great bluesman who ought to be more than a cult hero.......2001-09-20

When I was going to college in Portland, Oregon in the mid-seventies, Paul DeLay's band played a regular Tuesday night gig at Claudia's Tavern on Southeast Powell Blvd. I, together with several other diehard blues fans, went almost every week. Little Walter was dead, and this was as close as we could come to hearing him live. Paul's band played a lot of Little Walter and other Chicago classics. His harmonica talent was superb - easily the equal of the playing of better-known musicians like Charlie Musslewhite or Jerry Portnoy. A very large man, Paul would sway out to the microphone, close his eyes in a squint, and play. His music was everything every bar band has ever aspired to be, but it far transcended the constraints of that genre. We were hearing sublime art created, and never mind the smell of smoky carpets and stale beer. His singing was as good as his playing, and that is saying a great deal. Even then, though, it was clear that Paul had some drinking and drug problems. He seemed doomed to play out his career in front of audiences of a few dozen people, half of them just looking for a glass of beer and a place out of the rain.

I moved away from the Northwest and never heard of Paul again, Meanwhile, other musicians from the local scene, notably Robert Cray, became big stars.

Then, in 1999, I was in Singapore and found this CD, which is a reissue of two earlier albums he recorded in the early 1990s. The liner notes recounted Paul's travails, which had included a heart attack onstage and a stretch in Federal prison for dealing cocaine to support his habit (his musical career was clearly not making him rich or famous).

The music knocked me out! It was the same Paul Delay, a wizard on the chromatic harmonica with the same clear and soulful voice, but a whole new dimension had been added. Instead of playing Little Walter covers, Paul had recorded two entire albums of original material that he had written. The songs, squarely in the Chicago tradition, were nonetheless fresh and new. I almost hugged the record store owner. This is a great recording by a great and original bluesman.

5 out of 5 stars The Real Deal.......1999-12-30

Paul is the real deal, and this album is a great introduction. Buy it, and you'll be back for the rest!

5 out of 5 stars Great CD! Highly reccomended........1999-06-17

I agree with everyting in the review by the fan from Oakland. This is one jumpin' CD! Just wanted to correct one small error. The Billtown Blues Association is located in Williamsport, PA, not Baltimore, MD. One sideline, the BBA just had their 10th annual Blues Fest this weekend which incuded Mr. Delay in the lineup. He was just fantastic! Pick up this CD and anything else by Paul Delay for some of the funkiest (and most prodigious) harp playing you will ever hear.

    4 out of 5 stars Compilation of 2 CD's from 1990 & 1992.......1998-10-31

"Long known in the Northwest as one of the finest harmonica players going, deLay appears poised to explode on the national scene. He should, too, because he is a terrific singer and songwriter as well. Take It From The Turnaround is ample evidence of his talents." - Detroit News & Free Press, June '96

"While showcasing his amazing range, which runs from graceful Toots Thieleman-like highs to gut bucket James Cotton lows, what really differentiates deLay is his mastery of grooves, riffs and jazz influences. Check out the Cray-like funk of "Merry Way," the high-fiber instrumentals "Oat Bran" and "I Can't Quit You, No," and the vocal driven "What's the Big Idea?" It's taken deLay a long time to overcome his personal demons, but this disc reveals the diversity of a great undiscovered blues talent." - Boston Globe, August '96

"If Little Walter had lived another 20 years, we might have heard similar sounds...These tracks are fascinating, everyone a gem. You could take the other top five harp-playing bluesmen active today and, even combined, their talents couldn't match deLay's. Six stars, highest rating, for the ultimate blues CD in terms of virtuosity." - Real Blues Magazine, July '96

"Perhaps the most inventive and innovative harmonica player since Little Walter." - Billtown Blue Notes (Baltimore MD), June '96

Perhaps the best way to appreciate Joanne Brackeen's artistry is to hear her unaccompanied piano version of Richard Rodgers's "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered." It's a solo, but her two hands move so restlessly, so independently, that it sounds like a duet. While her right hand is spinning the melody into ever more surprising tangents, her left hand is constantly shifting the harmonic groundwork. The tug of war gives the song a riveting drama. Brackeen's two-handed interplay is at the core of all six pieces on this album, recorded at a 1992 show in Manhattan. Taking the part of her left hand are her longtime bassist Cecil McBee and the marvelously flexible drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith; taking the part of her right hand is alto saxophonist Donald Harrison, a former Jazz Messenger like Brackeen. --Geoffrey Himes

5 out of 5 stars Live and Kicking, this is Joanne Brackeen as.......2000-10-21

you wish you'd seen her in concert. Here she has an all-star band, and she moves with equal virtuosity through complex arrangements for the whole group (with Cecil McBee her long-time collaborator on bass, Marvin "Smitty" Smith on drums, Donald "Duck" Harrison on sax) and her inimitable piano solos, bursting with a mixture of improvisational spontaneity and a sensible yet unanticipated resolution of each harmonic and rhythmic puzzle she sets for herself. Featuring half her own compositions, along with refreshing original versions of "There is No Greater Love," "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," and Ornette Coleman's "Turnaround." I suggest you buy this before it goes out of print, as her work is prone to do. This one will take you to a night of the finest live jazz, heard in a small New York club, no matter where you live, any time you please.
