I must say that i was very skeptical at first about this album. I didn't truly believe that she could pull it off as a solo artist. Geri Halliwell was my example. But this album took me totally by suprise!

Beautiful Intentions was the first album off a recording label that Mel made herself, and was created mostly by her. It is an intense album with very heartfelt lyrics that hit really close to home. I personally will listen to this if i am in the middle of a particularly bad break-up.

From start to finish, Beautiful Intentions delivers a swirling array of music from ballads to rocked out tracks. I believe that the best song on the album is, "Here and Now", because it has the most personal lyrics in my opinion and is one of the prettiest songs on the album.

Overall, Beautiful Intentions is a classic album from a fantastic artist. Having a little something for everyone, it truly is a well-rounded album and is worthy of unlimited praise.

i just wanted to put in my opinion without buying anything

i have boughten this cd but not one this site i have been a fan since the spice girls she was always my favorite to me she was the only talented on and she has really inproved her self as solo artist you can tell she is no longer a spice girl i thinks it sad that she cannot get a record deal here in america with such a beautiful voice and such talent

all in all the cd has a ton of songs that will have you rocking you head to the beat the is only one song that i did not care for and that is good girl obvisously i am not a woman nor a faggot so all the rest and beautifully done with rock hits

In my opinion this is the best c.d ever!! I'm legit serious! I love evry song on Melanie C's "BEautiful Intention" album. Every song is so special to me and they really relate to my life. This c.d is kinda rock...but I still love it!! I'm so proud of her for making this awesome c.d all by herself.
It sounds kind of corny but this c.d is a friend for me! It's funny that every song describes all the drama in my life. so if you have drama in your life you might wanna check this c.d out to steam of some anger....

I so can remember the spice girls and how much i loved them. I mean, come on! Who didn't? But seperated, i think that only Emma Bunton and Melanie C. could really deal with the music business on their own. Beautiful Intentions is hardcore evdience that Melanie C. is more than capable of handling this on her own. She even created her own record label! Beautiful Intentions was done on Mel's terms and nobody elses. She has some rock tinged songs here but she also has some amazing pop ballads. She did an amazing job. Go Mel!

For every one who sees this product... its a GREAT shipment, really worth it!... you'll find the normal cd (first edition, non one with "first day of my life") but thats no problem (thats why the singles exist!!!)... well, the dvd its great, you'll find the "next best super star video", which its amazing and she looks gorgeous!, and "better alone", really cool bitter-love song, these ones, are the promotional vids.

But no over yet!, theres a biography, epk with all the "behind the scenes" of beautiful intentions and "live" (not really live) presentations of beautiful intentions, next best super star & better alone; a photo gallery closed with a fastener of gold.

Thats what our Mss. C has to offer to us in this Singapore's edition but be ready coz in march wé'll have a new material of this ex sporty spice... i can't hardly wait honestly!. See ya Mel C's fans.

3rd Album of Amazing Music (and Beautiful Intentions) from Ms. Chisolm! This DVD+CD pack is SUPERB........2007-01-11

For some reason, it's very difficult to buy Melanie C's music here in the States. Why this is is beyond me.

First of all, her voice hits all the big 3 points: 1) technically it's on key and on the up and up, 2) it's powerful, and the most important, 3) her voice has it's own distinct and artistic quality, her "stamp" which seperates it from everyone else.

Second, she's got all the qualities that the "next best superstar" needs: she's hot, she's unique, and she's damn good at what she does.

And yet! Here in the states we have to buy her albums at "import" prices, which are often absurd (try nearly $40 for a CD! you can see why her "U.S. numbers might be low, not due to her talent or abilty, but due to absolute ZERO promotion over here!).

Well, HERE is an answer to the "price" issue. An amazing release by the Singapore company "eqmusic (pte ltd)" which has put together, in one package, at an amazing price, Melanie C's album "Beautiful Intentions" PLUS a really wonderful DVD which includes two brilliant music videos ("Next Best Superstar" and "Better Alone") plus the "Electronic Press Kit" which is presented (and this is a BIG plus for fans) as BOTH the press kit which includes pseudo-live (the footage is live, but they are "miming" to the studio recordings) videos with Melanie C interviews "over" the songs/videos. BUT, there's also the option to watch ONLY the videos and then ONLY the interviews without the two overlapping. Whoever designed this DVD must either have been a fan of Mel's, or just a fan of musiclovers.

As for "critical" reviews, you won't get too much here as I'm a long time die hard fan, but best said this album is an evolution from "Reason" with everything you loved from that brilliant release, but with a little more intensity as there seems to be a more "rock n' roll" focus.

All in all, of all the releases of "Beautiful Intentions" and their videos, this Singapore release is probably your best bet here in the U.S.

And here's hoping that somewhere in the near future Mel will get her due here in the States! (hey, Mel, if you're out there, come to Austin Texas sometime ("live music capitol of the world") I PROMISE you'll get a warm welcome!

Forget "Sporty Spice", Melanie C is here to stay!! .......2007-01-16

I was surprised at the bad reviews that Melanie C's sophmore album "Reason" received. Then I realized that the reviews given are just one person's opinion and that is just what it is,,, an opinion. Like many other things, musical tastes vary from one individual to the next. As with any consumer in today's technology enhanced world, we as educated consumers can sample the tracks of any given album at any number of web-sites. As others have mentioned, sample the songs and see if you like them first before puchasing. Like most Melanie C fans I purchased the album "Reason" and have enjoyed every song even after repeated listens.
"Beautiful Intentions", Melanie's third album, is no exception. After purchasing it and with repeated listens, I liked the entire songlist. The song samples do not give any of the songs any true justice, you miss quite a lot of the congruity of the song.
I buy Melanie C's albums for her voice, an absolutely lovely voice that can be powerful one song and soft and reassuring the next. Through the progression of each album from "Northern Star" and "Reason" to the most current, listeners are treated to a more mature sounding Melanie C, her growth in her vocals is to be commmeded, just like fine wine, her distinctive voice only gets better with age. Her vocal work is smooth and transitions nicely from song to song. Her upper register shines in songs like "Good Girl" and "Here and Now" while her mid-range rocks smoothly in songs like the title track "Beautiful Intentions", "You Will See", "Last Night on Earth", "Little Piece of Me" and "Take Your Pleasure". She pokes fun at reality TV with "Next Best Superstar" and the album has it's obligatory yet heart-felt ballads in "Better Off Alone" and "You'll Get Yours". Some reviewers have mentioned that none of her songs are "radio ready", but I have to disagree, I could see any number of tracks fitting into some of the various music genres available on the airwaves. Americans need to re-discover the talent of the artist formerly known as Sporty Spice. Forget that she was on-fifth of the musical phenomena the Spice Girls, Melanie C's music stands on it's own merits and she'll be around making great music for quite some time. For any Melanie C fan, purchasing this album is a no brainer.

I am very puzzled by any negative reviews of this album. It is an excellent collection of songs that this reviewer would certainly rather hear on the radio than the garbage passed off as "American pop music" today. The songs rock. This album, along with Emma Bunton's "Free Me" and Geri Halliwell's "Passion," marks 2005 for me as the year of the solo Spice Girls.

Superb Masterpeice of work!!!.......2006-03-07

I have said all along that Melanie C is superb and this album prooves just what tallent she has. If your not sure what the album sounds like then go to Melanies official website and listen to the one minute clips of each song. Beautiful Intentions is a great album and it is easy to listed to. Hits include Next Best Superstar which was realeased at number 10 in the English singles charts, Better Alone which Melanie decided not to release into the singles charts, instead she sold this song through her official website. And of course not forgeting First Day Of My Life, this song has reached number one in Germany, Spain, Sweden and im sure many others. It is yet to be released in England (Can't wait until it is!). Also the album has just reached number one in Portugal which is a massive acheivment for Melanie. Its what Melanie deserves aswell!

Its worth listening to this album you will love it, You'll Get Yours which is the last song on the album is my personal favourite.

Buy this album and you will not be dissapointed!

IT IS PURE ROCK,NEW SOUND, EDGIER & ROUGHER THAN "REASON" & "NORTHERN STAR". I REALLY LOVE THIS ALBUM CAUSE BY THE 1ST TRACK TO THE LAST ONE YOU CAN TELL HOW MELANIE C HAS CHANGED INTO A REAL STAR.

I Just Love This.......2005-12-11

Melanie C has really done it here. My brother always says that she is a "poser" for doing rock songs, but I don't agree. She is just doing what comes naturally. The lyrics are so meaningful and honest that I can tell that she put a lot of effort into this. She has experienced everything on this album and I commend her for putting it out there.

Her music has really gotten me through a lot of tough times. Her lyrics and even the background music either picks me up, consoles me, or both at the same time.

"Beautiful Intentions" should be out here in the US. Bottum line. The US is ready for her again, and I think that she will do well. There are those that will dismiss her, and those who would say bad things about her and her music. Forget them, because she stopped caring about those people a long time ago, and we, her fans, should not either.
