A must for Peter Cetera fans.......2007-01-09

It's a bit slow to start with but grows on you. Some of the traditional songs are a bit slow for my liking but the titles that he composed himself are very good, addictive to say the least. His version of Jingle bells is a nice pleasant change. My favourite has got to be 'something that Santa Claus left behind' He should have released that as a single. It has pride of place on the shelf next to my copy of Chicago 25. This is a Christmas album which will be played every year.

I waited years and years for this!!! Peter did a great job not only re-working xmas songs everyone knows, but also coming up with new ones of his own. To see Peter perform some of these songs live was even better:)

Cetera Christmas -- it's a snorefest.......2005-11-17

I just woke up after the last track of Peter Cetera's 2004 release 'You Just Gotta Love Christmas.' What a disappointment.

I really enjoy the Chicago Christmas albums from the past few years. The Chicago albums combine the classic Christmas songs with some upbeat, horn-infused, Chicago-arranged stuff like 'Let it Snow' -- [the track with Lee Loughnane on vocals cranks.]

Compared to those Chicago albums which are fun and joyful [sorry have to compare, Peter] this album feels sad, and sappy, and almost morose.

The songs chosen like 'Santa Claus is Comin' To Town' and 'Let it Snow' and 'Winter Wonderland' have no pizazz or fun. They play like sample tracks, over which they would add the rest of the instrumentation.

The original songs, or songs that are not as familiar, play like 'Next Time I Fall In Love' or 'Glory of Love' with Christmas lyrics over the top.

Sorry Peter. I'm a fan of some of your work with Chicago, and I think you have a terrific voice. This album just doesn't do it.

im not a big fan of x mas music but since this is peter cetera i gave it a try and sure enough i loved it great music by the greatest voice out there right now and even better peter cetera made a couple of his own christmas songs up something chicago didnt do and in my mind makes this all the much better great for the holidays.
