Good Recording.......2001-08-28

This album is a good recording of Rossini's works, but don't get it if you are looking for the most energetic rendition of William Tell Overture, as that one track is played a bit understated. This is a great album to listen to after work to both unwind and maintain high energy at the same time. It is also good background music, with a variation in dynamic range that is large enough to keep you interested but not so great that you have to either adjust the volume or stop all other activity to hear the quiet pieces. Note that there are two Verdi pieces at the end of the CD.
