Travel back in time to an era when songs were created to enjoy like a rich desert that your mom would make. Howard Keel and his various duet partners have done just this! This CD has a wonderful selection from the great musicals of the 1950's and makes you smile....sigh....and seek to hear them again and again. I would encourage you to add this to your collection as I have. I've even shared it with many of my friends who have come back with the same remarks of great music from one of the great singers of our recent past.

Opera without voices is a nice change........2006-04-29

Sometimes opera is way too intense for me. The human voice penetrates in a way different from instruments. Therefore this CD is a nice change of pace in that the CD has 18 well known operatic arias which are played without singing, just the instrumentation. The drawback is that many of the selections are just too short. Eight of the 18 selections are less than 3 minutes long. Seven of the 18 selections are more than 4 minutes long. Perfect background music for a Saturday running around your house doing chores.
