Good memory foam mat.......2007-04-02

I bought this memory foam for my hard mattress. At first the memory pad was big for the cover, but since memory shrink a bit after a while to its original size, then it fit perfectly. I enjoyed the comfort of the pad, and I'm satisfied with it.

I bought this for background music for acupuncture relaxation sessions. It works very well. One client did comment that he became too focused on the music and trying to figure out each instrument, but beyond that it was very good.

Steven Halpern's music is unique, deeply relaxing and has a beautiful spiritual purity that washes through your soul, clearing out negative emotions while you seem to take deeper breaths and nurture your body, soul and spirit.

I've been listening to Steven's music for almost seven years now and can say I'm very fortunate to have found this beautiful escape into sound. Some of the first CDs I heard were the subliminal CDs - Enhancing Self-Esteem and Enhancing Intimacy. Throughout the years I've listened to CD after CD and have found them all to be healing, nurturing and essential to my own spiritual growth.

Ocean Suite is also very relaxing to listen to in the evening or during the day and helps me feel more healthy, happy and alive. Often I've found that Ocean Suite and my other favorite, Lake Suite can take away daily stress in a matter of minutes.

Steven's sense of timing within a world of tone, space, silence and time creates a piano perfection. His playing is more like piano artistry as he paints soundscapes for inner peace.

Relaxing music also seems to calm down pets, my cat especially enjoys this CD and is currently sleeping very soundly on the desk in her favorite kitten basket with a cozy blankie.

If it hadn't been for keyboardist Steve Halpern, the New Age genre may never have been born. His 1975 release, Spectrum Suite, marked the debut of a music whose compositional structure was free and intended for relaxation. Halpern built an entire career around this concept and thanks to his serenely inspired tinkling, along with the genre it spawned, thousands of listeners have found a musical way to unwind and heal from the stresses of life. I have fibromyalgia and have a very difficult time sleeping. I put "Serenity" on and listen with my earphones. It gently rocks me to sleep. A must have for relaxation!

Another Great Dan Gibson CD.......2006-07-13

I really enjoy the music on Dan Gibson's "Algonquin Suite" - with its mixture of what I call "relaxing music" & various nature sounds. There are more animal sounds than I've heard on my other Solitudes CD's, and I really like it.

I visited Algonquin Park on my honeymoon, and I've found that this CD does a wonderful job of transporting me back there when I listen to it - and Algonquin Park is a wonderful, beautiful place of nature, a place that I would like to return to often!

I use this CD to relax to, as well as to meditate with - and it always "does the trick".

Overall, if you enjoy relaxing music that includes various nature sounds, I would highly recommend this CD. Who knows, maybe it will become one of your favorites too...

Boring music.......2004-07-28

Actually I like the nature sounds recorded in this CD. It is real and smooth. But the music does not match the forest mood created by the nature sounds. The music is simply boring and sometimes too soft. You can hardly hear to it when there are noises beside you.I mildly like the first track and the fifth track. But the others do not match with the forest birds, or sometimes too short. It would be even better if this album presence nature sounds only.

I have been to the Algonquin park iun Ontario Canda! Every time I listen to this CD I get transported back to that time! It's a must for relaxing and unwinding. You feel as if your the only person around for miles!!

Algonquin Splendor.......2000-10-28

This CD is a brilliant creation of a calm cool, Algonquin forest, I have been to Algonquin Park in Ontario, and even though I now live far south the CD still captures the atmosphere and gentle feelings of the moment. It is an intriguing adventure in itself, where in some of its moments you feel like sitting back and sighing at its splendor, and in others you feel compelled to just drift gently off to sleep. I personally recommend this CD for anyone who enjoys the overall serenity of nature, and its attachment to the, I must say, well selected musical accompaniments.

Beyond mere "Excellence"!.......2000-02-05

I can't say enough good things about this disc. I'm actually here buying another copy, since my first is worn out! The music is superb, the production quality excellent,... I could go on and on. This disc is great for relaxing or for falling asleep. Or even just background music. I HIGHLY recommend this, as well as the other "Solitudes Suites".
