Experiential.. for me.......2000-01-29

I first experienced this cd lying flat on the floor.. eyes closed.. but the music begs for and encourages gentle movement. Either way, the music guides me thru quite a variety of journeys. I highly recommend it, on the floor or moving freely. I'm purchasing a 2nd for a friend.

Ayurveda takes one on a contemplative journey into the inner soul. It is both meditative and awakening. I too found the enclosed information on Ayurveda the most informative that I have read.

Petkus combines musical talent and training with a deep, intuitive understanding of the power of sound to relax, to heal, and to help the listener slip into meditation. Very beautiful CD. The liner notes offer an excellent introduction to the science of Ayurveda.

This CD is a must for anyone who is interested in Ayurveda!.......1999-05-08

This CD is beautiful! It's a great blend of Eastern philosphy and music that Westerners can be comfortable with. There are some truly memorable melodies on this CD; I think "Balance and Joy" (track 5) is especially wonderful. Those who just plain "need to relax" should find the long, slow "Contemplation" (track 3) helpful. I was really surprised at the liner notes. They are in the form of a booklet, and give one of the clearest explanations of Ayurveda I've ever read. If you're interested in Ayurveda, this is the CD to get!
