I bought this album 5 years ago in Toronto, and since then it has been with me anywhere I have gone. The Gomez-Blanchett-Rife trio`s work never ceases to amuse me with its genuine purity, power and originality. I now own all of their CDs, and I wouldn`t hesitate a bit to recommend each and everyone of them to anybody who likes native music. GOOD WORK!!

Excellent Performace.......2005-11-05

This album is a real find! The performer has almost everything needed to express this virtuosic yet impressionistic work; A brilliant technique, tonal clarity, sense of structure, and nuance. There is no unnecessary use of rubato.
Along with Ms. Luiza Borac and Jenny Lin, another promising young pianists, Ms. Budiardjo is the one we have to be concerned.

This CD contains the complete Jave Suite. A nice rendition, and a very welcome CD to funs of Godowsky. I hope it will encourage other music lovers to discover Godowsky's piano music, beyond his celebrated studies on the Chopin Etudes.

This album is spell binding and totally entrancing. I would compare it to the music of Andreas Vollenweider or any of Kitaro's earlier works. Not your typical crystal bowl CD, (But then again, none of the Crystal Vibrations music is!)

Elivia has captured the journey into far space and back again with this seamless and superb album. You return again, but not to exactly where you started the trip, as you're different. It's like signing on to a musical translation of what ascension is all about. Every time I listen I get new insights about myself, and my own life journey and get Lighter! If you like to relax completely and move into new dimensions, this music is a must have!

I LOVE singing crystal bowls and the sounds they create. Elivia has a wonderful ensemble that blends the bowls with Native American flute, didgerdoo and other instruments. This is music to meditate to and I even use it to fall asleep to at night. This is a hour's worth of blissful sound that you feel on many levels.

Carolann Martin joined the faculty of Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa to develop the opera program there and was assistant conductor at the Eastern Music Festival for two summers. She has made guest conducting appearances in the Eastern, Midwestern and Southwestern United States.

The Bournemouth Sinfonietta is one of the finest chamber orchestras in Great Britain. Arioso is based in Hartford, Connecticut.

Nancy Van de Vate (b.1930) has received performances in major cities throughout the world and her music is widely recorded.

Much of Kay Gardner's (1941-2002) music was designed for meditation, relaxation, and healing. Her music has been included in films and videos produced in England, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA.

Libby Larsen (b.1950) was Composer-in-Residence with the Minnesota Orchestra from 1983-1987. Her music has been performed by most of the leading orchestras in the USA.

Marga Richter's (b.1926) music has been performed by 50 orchestras including the Czech Radio Symphony, London Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra, and the Seattle, Milwaukee and Atlanta Symphonies.

Ursula Mamlok's (b.1928) works are performed at festivals such as Tanglewood and by prominent ensembles such as the Group for Contemporary Music, ISCM, the Da Capo Chamber Players, New Music Consort and Parnassus.

Katherine Hoover's (b. 1937) works have been performed by more than fifteen orchestras, and her concertos have featured Sharon Robinson and Eddie Daniels.

Jane Brockman (b. 1949), after receiving an award from Robert Redford's Sundance Institute, was inspired to leave her tenured professorship to score films in Los Angeles. Today, she writes mostly concert music.

In my opinion, "Sacred Flute Journeys" is one of the best CDs out there for personal transformation and spiritual growth. Armand & Angelina weave a musical story of higher chakras, meditation, and connection to your Higher Power ~ with their gracious and lilting melodies.

If you love the sound of plucked koto and whispering shakuhachi bamboo flute, you are going to love "Affinity." Elizabeth Falconer and her husband John Falconer form the duo "En" --"affinity" in Japanese. There certainly is an affinity for koto and shakuhachi. The dry but fluid sound of the flute blends with the harp-like dripping of the plucked koto. Mrs. Falconer is one of the few American koto players who are actually licensed as a true Japanese master of the instrument. She and her husband met while studying Japanese, and their affinity for each other has created a wonderful musical partnership.

What's marvelous about this cd is that it includes koto-shakuhachi arrangements of popular tunes like "Scarborough Fair" and "Je Crois Encore Entendre" and "Amazing Grace." There are also traditional Japanese tunes mixed in and original works. I was amazed at how Japanese Simon & Garfunkel could sound!

I like relaxation music. I find that I can turn off all the "noise" in my brain by listening to quiet music right before bed. This cd is going right into the bedside CD and I have a feeling it's going to be staying there for quite a while. This is gorgeous music. If you have kids that need settling down before bed, I'd recommend you try this music for them. You could read a beautiful bedtime story, a psalm or bible verse, or look at a soothing picture book and make a wonderful bedtime ritual. Or just sit and cuddle and teach them to calm themselves after a busy day. For adults, this is also something very romantic. Dinner by candlelight? Sofa and fireplace? Sitting on the porch or deck on a lovely evening? The music evokes dark silhouettes of pine trees and twinkling stars and the breeze stirring the floating leaves.

If you have a friend who is a fan of Japanese music, or who likes world sound or who might need something relaxing, this would make a wonderful gift. I think this is a great addition to any cd library and so far, tied with "Deep Pool" this is my favorite of all the Falconer koto albums so far. Absolutely excellent and highly recommended.
