Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars From All Music Guide.......2006-06-11

"Within the Sanctuary Series of albums, this debut from the pair of artists also known as Nara is an attempt at evoking creative feelings through what's essentially a tribal-ethno-fusion soundtrack. Both artists have experience in movie and TV scoring, and this album shows off those tendencies quite clearly. The traditions encountered in the music are quite debatably used more as means than ends, but the compositions are strong despite such quibbles. This certainly isn't the most highly complex music, the most ethnically authentic music, but it is quite workable ambient ethno-trance in essence."--Adam Greenberg, © 2006 All Music Guide

I think "En Thio ( The God Within)" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Beth Wood's singing is suberb as usual and Steve Wood's songwriting is truly versatile and inspiring. Thank you!

4 out of 5 stars Truly loving it!.......2002-12-27

I haven't gotten the chance to play this music while trying to do something creative, but I am truly enjoying it none the less! Just as beautiful as "The Living Seas", but more of a tribal and world sounding recording. Would recommend it to any one who enjoys rythms and percussion.

The problem with most New-Age music is its lack of sophistication. In general, you have second-rate musicians and composers who record their music in home studios, then try to sell it. Not the case here... these two artists are accomplished with movie soundtracks and other similar credits. The CD is well produced. The music is full, vibrant and sounds great on the best stereo equipment.
The music has many influences.... arabic, african mix with indian and a little american pop. The composition is excellent. Catchy tunes make this CD a favorite. There's not one track that I don't like. It's nice to relax with and listen to at home, but still has enough energy in it so you can listen in the car without being put to sleep.
PS. The best for last.... this CD and a little candlelight will put him or her in the mood. Try it!

2 out of 5 stars Typical New Age Music.......2002-03-10

What this music has to do with creativeity is beyond me. It's nice, background typical new age music. Nothing special. I've heard better.
