A beautiful piece of work.......2005-04-22

I've heard so much about this artist. I couldn't find the name of a song I'd heard and fallen in love with for so long. The thirteenth track on this cd " Lose Yourself " Is without a doubt the best song I've ever heard. I have both the cd version and the one where they preformed at Alley Katz. Both are beautiful and .. .. I actually did cry the first time I heard it. My friend showed it to me. Exact words where something like " Girl you've got to hear this! " So I ... Well okay I reluctantly listened to it.. I mean. What kind of name is that? Now I know it's the best name in music. My .. .. my friend Di and I .. This is our song. I dedicate it to her. Listen and maybe you'll like it too.

Early Emmet.......2003-03-16

These guys are an incredible band. Nothing too flashy but great guys with great hooks. I haven't seen the '99 release, my copy was bought at an Emmet show in 1994 in Chapel Hill, NC. It's not quite as good as Wake or Arlington, but it does feature the studio versions of some real showstoppers like "Hey Jesse" and "Clean Water." Definitely worth a listen. I think at this point the guys have called it quits, but I'm always looking for a reunion.

For the past three days I forgot to get my CD case out of my room. During that time I have been listening to Emmet's "Dark When the Snow Falls" in my car. Within that time I have probably listened to it 5 or 6 times straight through. Without a doubt, I have not even considered turning it off or listening to the radio. This is an amazing record and I highly recommend it, as well as any other Emmet Swimming CD. This band plays great music, they're down to earth, and Todd makes a mean chlli. I can't remember the last time I met a band who actually took the time to sit down and chat with you. These are cool guys and they defenitely deserve to be at the top. When are you guys coming to CT?

If you are looking for the best Asian style music in the world, you have come to the right place. Himekami is a master, weaving his poetry with sound. You should own this, and Moonwater as well, for it is equally excellent.

If possible, Snow Goddess is even better than Journey to Zipangu. The piece "Prayer" alone is worth the price -- stirring.
