5 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect sums it up.......2005-12-15

I have had the opportunity to see these guys live many many times. Each time I see them they get better and better. I fell in love with their music from the first song I heard. They're true Southern Rockers and they're just fabulous. I'm going to see them again this weekend in Memphis. This CD is, I have to say, my favorite. Even better than "June's.." to be honest. It's a little less polished and a little more real. But nothing beats them live.

4 out of 5 stars I like it.......2004-10-09

Ingram Hill is a phenominal band, and "Until Now" is a good CD. This is an older CD that is not widely available anymore due to the band signing with Hollywood Records. I would highly recommend this CD to anybody who already enjoys "June's Picture Show."

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!.......2004-07-01

I bought this cd when I saw the guys live 2 years ago. And I have had to buy it multiple times since then becasue I listen to it so much. These boys are awesome. And that comes straight from the heart becasue I have been following them like a crazy person for the past 2 years. If you like rock that you can understand mixed in with some good ol' country lovin' then this is definetly the album for you.

5 out of 5 stars raw talent.......2003-08-27

I caught these guys at a show at the House of Blues in Chicago and they were excellent!!! The cd show's off the great vocal ability and song writing they possess. If you don't have this cd you should pick it up.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Band!!!!!!.......2003-08-17

I just recently saw Ingram Hill play live for the first time on July 4, 2003. At the time, I had no idea who they were, but I was blown away by their live performance, and I just had to buy the cd. It is currently my favorite cd that I own, and they are currently my favorite band. After buying the cd, I met the guys and they signed it for me. They are a really great, friendly group of guys and they enjoy there fans very much. If you haven't experienced Ingram Hill, then you are missing out. So buy the cd and I garauntee that you will love it. In fact, I'm listening to it right now!

Album Description

This CD brings together selections from Steve Roach's first two recordings, Now and Traveler. The fourteen selections featured in this collection were composed between 1979 and 1983. Although they hail from the days before samplers and MIDI advancements, many of these pieces sound as if they were created in the digital age. Roach's early releases, however, were created entirely through an inventive combination of analog synthesizers and imaginative recording techniques. More than two decades later, this music is filled with a freshness and emotional urgency, indicating just how far ahead of his time the California-born composer really was.

First released in 1982, Now is an entrancing journey through darkness and light, from the ancient past to the eternal present, a powerful statement of birth, growth, transition, and rebirth into the living moment. With the release of Traveler, Roach continued his sound quest through a series of interlocking pieces that venture through evocative landscapes, both familiar and strange. Although Roach depicts a vast array of emotions and experiences in his music, the overall effect remains that of unresolved searching. Now and Traveler are the first two chapters in an ongoing story of musical and personal discovery that continues to unfold in his music today.

4 out of 5 stars Early New Age Music.......2000-08-09

I have enjoyed the New Age Music for many years, and was attracted to the album cover "Man in the maze". I was surprised to hear some really relaxing almost Kitaro like sounds. It may be dated by some standards, but Steve Roach is still recording and turning out great New Age Music today "Midnight Moon", "Magnificent Void", etc... Well worth listening to.
