Sue Hoadley is a third generation harpist who has a full time practice of playing therapeutic harp and flute for clients in hospitals, recovery rooms and residents. She is also a performer, lecturer, and teacher.

My favorite music for Sunday morning..........2000-07-01

This is one of my top desert island CDs. It is incredibly soothing, grounding and quiet -- but strong, too. The music is absolutely mesmerizing, with beautiful music on top of quiet drumming. I love all of Gabrielle Roth's CDs, but this one is my favorite. This is the CD I put in every Sunday morning, early, before the rest of the world wakes up.

intriguing vocalist and debut album.......2005-01-29

This is an impressive first effort by a promising new age female vocalist. Lisa Reagan's voice is haunting and strongly reminiscent of Loreena McKennitt. McKennitt is, in my opinion, the better artist of the two, but if you like McKennitt's work, you will like this album.

In addition to Reagan's voice, the music on this album has a strong beat, thanks to some expert drum work (somewhat unusual for new age), and good work on the strings. The best track is "I call the rain," which has an almost irresistible catchy chorus you will find yourself humming long after the song is done. Other strong tracks are "Spirit Dance" and "Tapestries in Time."

In sum, if you like the work of such artists as Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Deanta, Maire Brennan, and Lynn Morrison, this album is definitely worth a listen.

Misses the mark.......2004-08-22

The music is kind of interesting. I think the artist is trying to be deep but the lyrics miss the mark. They just never take hold. This may have been a better instrumental album. I'm not sure that I would give this CD a second listen.

absolutely beautiful!!.......2001-06-01

I discovered Adagio Trio by downloading the MP3 for their song Shenandoah (on the Sanctuary cd). It was one of my favorite songs to listen to at work. I received both cd's as a present yesterday and have been listening to them ever since. The music is so beautiful and relaxing. I'm sure these albums will be two of my favorites for years to come.

This peaceful, hauntingly beautiful music comforts many........1999-08-26

Stillpoint by the Adagio Trio is lovely music to play in the background. One friend avoids road rage during a long commute. Another computer programmer calms down after stressful meetings or computer problems. Several friends have used as gifts. I regret that the Washington area is not in the normal performing area for the Adagio Trio, but one can hope.

fourth world excursions.......2000-10-04

Stillpoint is a collaboration between Nick Parkin and Martin Franklin from TUU , and Eddie Sayer from the band Lights In A Fat City. Collectively they play percussion, water drums, keyboards, flutes and computer sequencing. They inhabit the world of fourth world music, whose fore runners have been the likes of the great Jon Hassell, Mo Boma, O Yuki Conjugate and many more. Stillpoint work with textures and processed sounds and a lot of their music has a very dark edge to it that can be unsettling at times. Lots of drones and loops, bells, flutes.The actual recording comes across as very balanced and there are a lot of cultures at work here, merging and evolving into rich organic hybrids of sound. I am not familiar with TUU but am endeavoring to explore their music in the not so distant future, but for the moment I like what I hear. This is contemplative and spatial music, ethno ambient tribal music. Great stuff.

An excellent CD that is great for moods of self absorbation. The musicanship is first class and very well put together. I would strongly recommend this for anyone into martial arts or meditation. Anyone whom likes Robert Rich or Steve Roach will really enjoy this group.

This is a good CD. I prefer lives, but hey, personal opinion there.
The band is awesome, Paul and Charis sing very well and the songs are wonderful. Glad to have the CD in my collection.

Tribal and Solid.......2005-05-22

This is a cool compilation. There really are no bad tracks. The general theme is of world / tribal music. Big names appear like O.Y. Conjugate and Rapoon, and they are nicely complimented by less-well-known but similarly competent artists. A great bonus are the field recordings-- short, but some of the best I have heard. One irregularity is that the album sounds a lot softer for the first 30 minutes or so, then suddenly becomes louder all around. Not to bad, though-- fans of world music check this one out.
