About the Artist
Steve Wick is a musician living in the western suburbs of Chicago. He is currently working for a post production media company in Wheaton, Gap Digital, as composer and producer. Most recently he has been involved in scoring and performing custom music for the on-going Left Behind Dramatic Audio Series based on the best selling books by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins. It is currently airing on over 1000 radio stations world wide and is available both in retail stores and through Amazon.com.. Though Steve has been involved in various musical endeavors, Incidents of Travel is his first solo effort.

Inspirational, upbeat, authentic & top quality recording!.......2003-10-15

First, I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE the "Flute Dreams" CD of Native American music by Alice Gomez with Madalyn Blanchett & Marilyn Rife. I was particularly impressed with the authenticity of the music and the audio quality of the recordings. I wanted more! I stumbled on Marimba Quest quite by accident when I was searching out more music by Alice Gomez. It turns out that the three talented women who produced Flute Dreams are (or were?) also members of Marimba Quest and that was good enough for ME. I can assure you that the recording quality is top-notch and, if you close your eyes while listening to it, you can FEEL their presence as if they are in the same room with you! "Incidents In Travel" is the first recording I have found to reflect the authentic flavor of the marimba music I enjoyed so much when I lived in Central and South America back in the 1960s, and I am pleased to recommend it to YOU. Listen to the audio snippits provided and I am sure you will agree that the CD is worth buying even if there aren't any other tracks. ("Eagles" is worth the price, by itself!) So, if you like marimba music, this CD deserves a respected place in your collection.

Excellent and soothing music. You'll not be disappointed with Steve's effort. Great mood setter to relax by while concentrating on other things. Only one negative - its the only CD he has released. I hope he has another composition in the same pattern soon. This is a young writer with outstanding talent and is sure to produce volumes of great music in his career.

There are few CDs, or musicians for that matter, worthy of the superlatives I would ascribe to Incidents of Travel and Steve Wick. This CD moves me...it somehow speaks a language of its own directly to my soul. Other CDs evoke images of places and times, thus being dependant on my memories to fill out what they are unable to say themselves. This CD is different; it speaks on its own terms and stands on its own merits.

Weaving consummate musicianship with a true ear for the unspoken poetry of melody, Steve Wick has given us a CD of rare beauty. Perfect for times of reflection and tranquility, it belongs in the collection of anyone who seeks quiet music to play loud.
