Great meditation CD.......2007-03-12

This is my new "go-to" CD for meditation. I'm a fan of vibrational music for meditation, but sometimes the vibrational CD's can get repetitive and boring. This CD has multiple tracks with variety in the music, but with calming vibrationals in the background. Good for meditation, guided imagery, yoga, or great background music for reading.

Following a suggestion from Candace B. Pert, Ph.D. found in her book "Molecules of Emotion," I decided to look for a relaxation CD to help me fall asleep. Because I also suffer from migraines, the word "healing" in the title of this CD intrigued me. It's still hard to believe, but for the past three months it puts me to sleep so quickly that I've never heard the end of the CD! And if I should wake up in the middle of the night I just turn it on again and fall right back asleep. Amazing!

Bedtime music guaranteed to put you to sleep.......2007-07-03

Other people may share the difficulty of falling asleep in a different bed when one is visiting friends, traveling, etc. Some friends let me use this CD when I was having trouble sleeping at their place. It does work best with headphones because I have experienced a tingling, the only way to describe that the music was really designed to affect the brainwaves. This really does make you calm and relaxed. You will also never get bored of the tune. I love the idea that there is only two tracks to prevent interruption. Sweet dreams!

Great for afternoon pickmeup.......2007-03-19

My problem with naps (which I think everyone could do with more of) is that I wake up feeling like I've been hit by a car. Taking an hour to use this CD, even if I fall asleep in the middle, does not produce that effect. I highly recommend this if you are dealing with any health conditions exacerbated by stress and/or lack of sleep.

If you are new to sound healing, this CD is worth a try. One CD provides the background and the other the 'healing' pieces.

Emotional Healing - Review from April, 2000.......2006-04-12

With pillows surrounding my body and my headphones on, I relaxed as my body drifted into an incredibly deep sleep. Never have I woken and felt quite so healed or refreshed. It was as if my spirit was vibrating at a new level within my body. It is hard to explain unless you have experienced this place of peace. I am an avid promoter of massage and natural healing. This to me is similar to a massage - but is a massage for the soul. As a child my mother often played classical music for me and swears by its calming effect. At college I often attended many concerts and always enjoyed the classical music the most. I recommend the CD version since Dr. Weil speaks for a few minutes and you may not want to listen to this each time. It is easier to forward to the music. Sometimes I do listen to his voice since it is so calming and you cannot learn everything just listening once. I highly recommend this CD if you need physical or emotional healing. He is onto something and I know you will benefit from this relaxing retreat.

How did you know Shaina?.......2007-05-12

I was injured a year ago and have had two surgeries and months of physical therapy. As well as physical healing, I have been working on spiritual enlightenment. This CD spoke to me immediately and it was as though I knew the words before she even spoke them. I use the music as an affirmation of who I am, where I have been, and where I am going. One of her lovely songs simply states " How can anyone ever tell you you were anything less than beautiful?" What a beautiful affirmation of your value and worth as a precious child of our Creator. Awesome!

I've listened to Dr. Andrew Weil's Music for Self-Healing: Relax and De-Stress several times and find it to be very relaxing. Aesthetically speaking, these aren't musical selections I'd put in my stereo to listen to for pleasure (even though they're pleasant), yet I can tell a measurable difference in both my mood and bodily state after I begin listening to this CD.

In fact, I'm listening to Relax and De-Stress right now and I'm noticing that my breathing has deepened and slowed--and that tension in my shoulders and neck seems to have melted away.

If you're looking for a soothing CD to put in the stereo after work or perhaps to listen to while you make dinner or get ready for bed, I can recommend with confidence the Relax and De-Stress compilation arranged by Joshua Leeds.

This CD and others from the same folks have been a great help to me. I work at a high stress job I love, but often at work had trouble keeping myself on an even keel. I would get upset or bent out of shape fairly easily. Meditation was suggested by my doctor, but my mind flies around too much to do it on my own. These guided meditation CDs are wonderful!!! I sit in my car at lunch and listen daily. They are very easy to listen to and use. I find myself so relaxed, I actually doze off! My boss has even complimented me on my sudden ability to remain in control...almost nothing gets under my skin anymore!

Works Better the Longer You Use It.......2007-06-13

When I first listened to this CD I wasn't sure if it was helping me to relax. But as I continued to use it I began to notice a calming and soothing effect that continued afterward. It has now become a favorite of mine for chilling out and also as a prelude to a great night's sleep. Highly recommended.

Mary's meditations have been a great help to me during a time when life has been difficult. She advises to "let the words wash over you" and that works well when I don't try to focus on the specific words but just relax and let whatever happen. The music is also extremely soothing (check out Richard's CD:Pure Light: Music for Meditation & Relaxation). Overall a wonderful way to kick back and distance myself from all the craziness.

Excellent Guided Meditations.......2007-05-09

There are many guided meditation tapes available out there. For me, this is one of the best, although I imagine different approaches/voices/styles work better for different people. The Ease of Being is unique in that it gently guides you to a place of less effort and a letting go of the need to control. This results in a very deep and relaxing experience. I also feel the music enhances the effect of relaxation, allowing the listener to "float" away to a peaceful place.

My teacher started using these CDs in our classroom while we did some thinking and meditation exercises and I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt surrounded by 30 people. The vibes in the room were amazing and I immediately asked her, after class, what the CD was and where she had gotten it.

She showed me it was the Tamboura CD and said they were all available on Amazon. Now I have the Chanting Om, Tamboura, and Tibetan Singing Bowl. Each are wonderful and I highly recommend them!

This CD inparticular has a perfect rhythm to it, which is wonderful for meditation.

Looking for great meditation music? Listen to Liquid Mind's assortment of musical meditation arrangements! I purchased Liquid Mind III years ago it's music became almost sacred to myself and other family members and friends. So, I purchased the entire series! Need I say more?!!!!
The music has a great "trademark" sound but each CD has it's own uniqueness. I found it was great anytime you need "background" music. I loved each and every CD by Liquid Mind and will treasure the music always. Thanks to Chuck Wild and all involved in the production of Liquid Mind!

Exactly what I was looking for.......2007-01-17

I always tried to relax by listening to classical music. Some classical is relaxing, but it can change tempo and volume often which I find distracting. This is much more calming then anything I've ever found. We have two of these cd's -- Reflection and Unity. I use it in the kitchen, or while I'm reading at bedtime. My 10-year-old listens to one at bedtime to help him calm down. I really love these cd's.

A perfect CD for Massage.......2006-04-14

As a massage therapist, it is really tough to find appropriate music for a session. This CD hits the mark. No singing, chanting, or other distracting bird calls. Just pure melodious tunes that flow from one song to the other. My clients love this CD and you will too.

Deep and moving.......2006-02-15

I had the pleasure of taking a workshop with Todd Norian a few months ago. At the time, my only intention was to learn about anusara yoga. Mr. Norian struck me as a deeply spiritual person and a very kind soul - so naturally, I became curious about his music, which he had for sale in the back of the room.

I bought Bija and took it home and was immediately drawn into the soothing and meditative groove of this CD. The music is otherworldly but not "new-agey". Gentle chanting in the background complements the music without overpowering it. I use this CD often in my yoga classes and my students always remark on how relaxed it makes them feel. Well done! I can't wait to see what else Mr. Norian produces in the future.

I am picky about the music I sometimes use. I have endless numbers of "yoga" CDs, most of which are totally useless.

But when I go to the stereo during a class, I am always attracted to "Bija" by Todd Norian in cool down and Shavasana moments. There is something particularly sweet and deeply moving about Todd's soft chanting and vibrational tones. Todd is very spiritually tapped in to begin with anyway, so the music that comes through him is exceptional, extraordinary, special. Inside his lilting pulses, a vast spacious mind awakens. I especially like track #2 which opens up a transcendent quality in the yoga room every time.

Buy this album. You will use it over and over and over again.

Todd Norian's new "Bija" CD combines Todd's gentle keyboard melodies with a soothing background of mantra. The result is music that drew me deeply inward - perfect for the focused practice of yoga asanas, or for meditation.

I found that the CD enhanced my experience of hatha yoga, and allowed me to go more fully into a practice of meditation-in-motion. The music became part of my practice, and seemed to resonate from the inside out. Because there are no abrupt changes of pace or key, the 70 minutes of music presented in this CD can accompany and support any contemplative practice.

As a poet, yoga teacher and practitioner, I highly recommend this, and all Todd Norian's musical CDs.
