Heavenly & well-crafted. Among best contemporary/new-age piano albums........2005-08-08

Highly recommended. If you are only to buy one album from Shardad, buy this one. A selection of some of Shardad's best-loved compositions arranged for piano solo, from Beauty of Love, Eternity, and Dream Images, played by himself. Shardad is a truly gifted internationally acclaimed young composer and classical conductor (trained in Vienna's highest musical academies) who is also a talented piano player and violinist. His arrangements of Yanni's (otherwise poorly crafted) music for orchestra in "Yanni at the Acropolis" is a showcase of his talent. The pieces in this album range from meditative to passionate, conveying a variety of tender and subtle emotional tones, in a beautiful melodic setting and with tasteful arrangements. Some of the tracks contain Persian melodic and rythmic influences. If you seek a musical heavenly realm, or if you are interested in contemporary piano and/or new age music, you should seriously consider this album.
