About the Artist
With a voice that Billboard Magazine has described as "endlessly engaging," singer/songwriter Lori Larson makes her solo debut with "Buoyancy," a CD combining Larson's original pop/jazz music with lyrics based on the passionate, heart piercing poetry of 13th century mystic, Rumi.

Larson's voice has been heard in commercial jingles and other recording projects including the internationally known, Red Red Groovy. Larson co-wrote and was the singer for the group's two top ten Billboard singles.

Album Description

Perhaps I'm partial, but as a friend of these Portland boys for several years now, I can confidently say they are one of the best bands around. Buy any of their CD's you can get your hands on -- "The Curvature of the Earth" is the most recent -- or "A Sinking Ship Loves Company". And above all, if you can see them live, do so. Slackjaw is a fantastic band. Having seen them live, I can officially say that they rock. Intelligent lyrics and music that isn't just the everyday hunky-dory "indie rock". This is the band that all bands wish they could be. Buy this record, you won't be dissapointed.
