Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great music, but what's the point?.......2001-05-27

Here is yet another compilation of Franco's material, and this has to be one of the sloppiest-looking products put out yet.

Featuring ten tracks, it recycles several songs from Franco's live "En Vivo Marzo 16" album: "Esta Vez," "No Basta," "Sexo" "Te Amo" and "Un Buen Perdedor" are all pulled from that album, although only "Perdedor" is marked as a live track. Then there's the hit title song, along with "Como Cada Domingo," "Esperando El Sol," "Con Un Poco de Ti" and "Que no Muera La Esperanza." All outstanding songs -- the moving divorced-dad tale "Domingo" is one of Franco's finest compositions -- but they all have appeared on other CDs. If Sony is going to keep putting out these greatest hits-type discs, couldn't they pull out some rare or previously unreleased tracks? There's little point for this CD to exist, except to make money. For instance, after noticing that "Esperanza" is mistakenly credited to another writer, it becomes obvious that that this is a cheaply-put-together product with little thought except the bottom line. Even Franco's name is misspelled on the spine of the CD -- didn't anyone proofread this thing?

Stay away from this, unless you buy everything that has Franco's name on it.
