Best CD I own.......2002-09-04

This is one of the best CD's I own. Seeing these three groups in concert a couple of years ago, brought me back to my childhood, thought I was hanging out at the park. Just wish they would tour more in concerts together. If you found this page, buy this CD, you won't regret it.

Tierra, Malo and El Chicano are awesome on this CD. I saw these groups together in concert just recently and was unaware of this CD as soon as they mentioned it I immediately went out and bought it! Definitely the best of "latin oldies"...

Although i am only a young one i appreciate the music that many people my age and a little older were conceived by, and this collection i believe to be one of the best i own. it is lively and has flavor only found it the classics. This gives you a little taste of it all. The music really makes you want to get up and dance. the rhythems captivate you while your body moves. Latin Legends Live is wonderful, not just for the ones that were listening to these songs while they were growing up, but also for the younger generation to enjoy. Many may think the young ones have no taste for real music with all the stuff coming out in the 90's, but many of us do listen to the classics and this is one that i believe the young and the old can relate to and enjoy.

Birth and Root of Santana for fans of early Santana.......2006-12-09

The CD features the birth and root of Carlos Santana. The live songs are mostly lengthy jam-style tunes with plenty of improvisation. The mood and sound of the CD is not very laud for a live version of his early work.

This is one of those compilations from not very well known labels that keep showing up. Most of these compilations, from secundary labels, feature the pre-release work (1968) of Santana uder many different art covers.

I recommend "Live at the Fillmore 1968" or the "San Mateo Sessions" for his early work under well-know labels.
