Customer Reviews:
Salsa de la buena.......2002-11-08
When I bought this album I had never heard of Pedro Jesus, in fact I stumbled upon this album because it was misplaced in the Jazz section when I was browsing through the new albums on display at Best Buy. I immediately decided to buy it, I figured it was produced by a reliable record label- Musical Productions which is the record company of many other great salsa artists such as Tito Rojas, Tito Gomez, Anthony Cruz, Hector Rey, Mimi Ibarra among other greats. Well, I was not disappointed the album surpassed my expectations. This salsa is authentic, Pedro Jesus' voice is outstanding and the musical arrangements are of top quality, no doubt about it there some experienced musicians in his orchestra. All the salsas are danceable, upbeat and can definitely can be enjoyed by salsa connoisseurs or by those who are sampling this genre of music for the first time. This is also great salsa for listening in a relaxing setting. High recommendation given for this album by Pedro Jesus.
Great.......2001-05-11
This is one of the best Salsa cds i have heard in ages. Pedro Jesus now replaces Victor Manuelle on my top sonero list. My favorite tracks are Esa Carta, Dame Una Razon and Quiero Darte Todo, oh yeah and Amar es Algo Mas. I just cant pick ONE favorite.
Sparkling salsa!.......2001-03-25
Up tempo salsa which will not bore or have you stand still for a minute. It is suppose to be cuban but tends to have more New York, Columbian or Costa Rican like style.
Pure rough salsa energy all the way. Pity the thrill only lasts for a bit more than half an our, but who cares? It does not have the kitschy like sound you are likely to hear, does not break down into boring intermezzo's or have slow ballads.
