What can I say! they are simply the best latin band,that succesfully found that special sound that combines countless rhythms & styles with superb taste & first class musicianship.Even cubans are trying to figure them out!Too bad that nowadays their catalog is becoming so hard to find.

Never thought I'd see the day when Guaco CDs are sold on Amazon.com! As they say in Venezuela, Guaco es Guaco. Quite unlike any other band in the world. They've moved from a pure Gaita (Venezuelan Xmas folk music) sound in the 70s/80s to a glorious mix of Salsa, Jazz, Rock, Funk.... Incredible. Best songs in this CD are Como Sera, Como es tan bella, Que Cobardia & El Sueno De Don Simon. I got hooked on this band after listening to this album. Other good Guaco albums are Triceratops, Classico-II & Amazonas. Saw them live in Valencia, Venezuela in Dec '97. They are like Gods there... my best concert ever! Dont miss this CD! -Dan

Guaco is Guaco....the excellence of Venezuelan bands!!!...from Maracaibo,the best of Venezuela and the Caribbean !!! without any doubts ... A rithm mix difficult to explain, but easy to enjoy....music for musicians......

Excellent compositions, musicians and outstanding production. Guaco represents an icon of the afro-caribean music, with a strong influence of this land of origin, Zulia, Venezuela, and a fusion of different rythms, regardles their natures, resulting in a unique and deligtfull product. Like Irakere in Cuba, even better, Guaco is also the launching platform of excellent artists, examples are Amilcar Boscan (producer/composer of Willie Colon's last production), Jorge Luis Chacin (recent composer of Ricardo Montaner's last production), Archie Pena (performing with Arturo Sandoval), Juan Carlos Salas (jazzing in Europe lately) among others As Venezuela, Guaco is one of the best kept secret in the caribbean area "Un guaquero"- Houston
