I wasn't expecting to have 4 discs for this price, and the music is a quality selection of film music, giving a good scope of the genre, and a very listenable transfer.

For the price, this CD is a great bargain. The musical selections, as you might expect, are mixed in quality ranging from extraordinary to so so, the balance being worthwhile and interesting. Sonically the CD is excellent.

I have been listening to great scores for many years and this collection is truly inspirational in so far as the choice of different scores takes you on a journey of listening pleasure matched by only a few collections.The price is incredibly reasonable for hours of listening pleasure. Superb.......2006-11-14

Carlos Salzedo's music is difficult, no VERY difficult (and I'm a harpist, so I know these things!) and the Salzedo Harp Duo play them as effortlessly as water falling off a leaf. Inspired musicality and daredevil tempos make this a "must have" and even if you're not a harpist, it's absolutely lovely music. And "Rhumba" will have you dancing!

This is an irresistible collection of beautiful melodies arranged (or composed) for harp duo. Nancy Lendrum & Jody Guinn are masters of their instruments, and lend an energy and flourish to this delightful assortment of music by Carlos Salzedo and other assorted classical composers. The arrangements are crisp and the playing is brilliant! There isn't a dull moment or 'lackluster' piece on this cd. This music would be ideal accompaniment to any activity from a "dinner party for 8" to a Sunday afternoon relaxing with a good book...highly recommended!!

Sophomore Album Jinx?? NO WAY!.......2000-10-14

This is the one CD I was waiting for at the store when they put it on the shelf. Jay starts out like gangbusters with the hit "Ven A Mi". The music store only had the cassette version and I literally wore out two cassettes before the CD came in. "Corazon", "Amar Asi" and "Si Te Portas Mal" are the best tracks on the cd. PERIOD. The accordion on "Si Te Portas Mal" is some of the best squeezebox I have heard in a long time. Jay proves with this sophomore effort that he is here to stay and that he is truly......"The Voice".

Best ever Geckos.......2005-02-01

I've been a fan since 1997. This album explores arrangements both typical of the band and a bit out there. There are a couple of outstanding instrumental cuts. Augmenting their trademark steel pan sound is some excellent, somewhat understated trumpet playing. The performances, with additional guest artists, are all exceptional. The Geckos will be hard pressed to top this one!

It Rocks.......2005-10-11

This CD Rocks. the songs are put together fairly well. not impressed with the over all Mix! the common listner probably would not recognize the suttleties. (...) Still this Disc Rocks. The Toll and Maker are great tunes. the disc over all rocks those two songs along with December are the tracks I liked the Best. War on Peace is a little reminescent of late eighties thrash and it rocks as well. this is a must have CD for your rock collection. not a disapointment.

Almost a 5.......2005-03-13

Outstanding guitar work drives this cd. With a touch of Qzzy and Bob Husrt's big leads the cd drives hard. The vocals aren't up to speed with the rest of the band. They do have tons of potential as they combine the best of 80's and 90's metal/power rock. Sanity Fades, War On Peace and Loaded Like A Gun are superb. These guys are a hard working bunch and if they get to your area go see them.
