Where does one find the song "POR TI"????.......2004-05-26

"Por ti" is a fabulous pop-symphonic track which first was released in 1989 in the first pressing of this disc. However, t has become impossible to find.

Do you know where to find it, even in a MP3? I'd really love to hear that song again. Anyone knows?

this is the best classic cd.......1999-09-19

this is the best classic mexican cd you'll find. all of the best voices are in it, sasha, thalia, paulina, diego, and eduardo. the song i love is con todos menos conmigo, if you grew up with this great group, you'll know what is worth. Especially that it was produced with the Synpfonic de la ciudad de mexico.

Fair enough !.......1999-03-22

Although the album includes good songs and hits, the fact that the "Orquesta Sinfonica de la Ciudad de Mexico" played the music was not a very good idea, from my particular point of view. I was expecting the titles to be played in a very similar way to those in the early eigthies, and I got a bit dissapointed. However, there are two or three good songs, such as "Hoy tengo que decirte papa" or "Corro Vuelo me Acelero" that are great !!!

If you can't get the original 1989 Timbiriche clasico, this would be a good choice.

One of the better Mexican disco CD's in some time.......1999-02-01

As a classical music lover (especially grand opera), this music is a little out of my normal territory. However, it - along with La Onda Vaselina's "Entrega Total" - is quite medodious and easy on the ear; it is a delight to which to listen. My only negative is that it last only for 45 minutes. As the reviewer from Chicago indicates, plenty of room on the CD for the song "Por Ti" and perhaps other music.

A Beautiful, Energitic, Colorful, Compact Disc.......1998-12-19

This is a "full bodied" compact disc. Much like the flavor of a spicy enchilada plate...smothered with chile and topped with a fried egg.

The contained orchestration of the pieces runs the full gamut of the "colorful" instruments. The trumpets, the kettle drums and I have heard a Mariachi 'Guitarron' on the Galindo number. Lovely sonorous music.

Classic folklorico.......2003-11-06

If you are looking for something different, whether a classic music lover or a Mexican music fan, than try this CD. On this disc you will find some familiar tunes like "La Bamba", but otherwise the music is highly unique and original and falls into the classic music category? All the songs are with full orchestra and sound terrific when played on your home stereo system. The music will fill your room with music fit for a movie as the music goes from soft suttle instruments barely audible, to building and crashing crescendos that rapidly build momentum. It is at times an odd fit into the classic music mold. On "Sones de Mariachi" the traditional is anything but traditional for a mixture of popular mariachi music, played out to full orchestra for a new paradigm.It is lovely, to say the least, to hear these familar songs reworked with the classic treatment. Beginning with the "Huapango for orchestra" you will go as though soaring through the valley's of Mexico, travelling along it's rivers and climb the highest mountans and pyramids on the wings of the fine production work of the orchestra.The music has a feel as though it were made for a travel film with majestic vistas . This music is I-Max ready. Great music for visualizing, relaxing and exploring the depths of your mind. This is one in a series of CD's released under the"Mexico Clasico" theme and all of which are very good. The recording was made on the soft side so for those with sensitive ears it may just be perfect. I have found thaat I need to turn it up , louder than usual to get the full spectrum effect.This by no means means it is an inferior quality recording as notching it up a bit fills in all the highs and lows quite nicely. Recommended for classic music fans that want something a little different.
