Since they burst on the scene from Guadalajara, Mexico, in the early '90s, Maná have reigned as the premier Latin rock band of our time. Led by the powerful and passionate vocalist-composer Fher González, drummer Alex González, and the incredible guitarist Sergio Vallin, the combo beautifully blends American power rock with Hispanic folk idioms and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. This three-CD compilation contains the band's greatest hits, from their debut CD, Falta Amor to their groundbreaking, Grammy Award-winning MTV Unplugged recording. All of their favorites are here, including "Vivir Sin Aire," "Dónde Jugarán los Niños?," "Se Me Olvido Otra Vez," and the reggae-tinged "Selva Negra." Unlike their American counterparts who sing songs about parties and sex, Maná has performed a number of socially conscious compositions. The most prominent tunes in that genre are "Cuando Los Angeles Lloran," composed for the legendary Brazilian environmentalist-activist Chico Mendez, and "Ana," a song about teenage pregnancy. Other favorites, such as "La Chula" and "Como Tedeseo," are remixed as pop-dance numbers. ¡Lo Mejor!.......2004-01-04

This amazing box set includes 3 of Maná's earliest CDs: "Cuando Los Ángeles Lloran" (1995), "¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños?" (1994), and "Falta Amor" (1992). Each CD has it's own style, but all of the songs are awesome. Great addition to your Maná collection! I also highly recommend "Sueños Líquidos" and "Revolución de Amor"!

Mana is the standard to which all Latin pop/rock bands will be measured for years to come! They are truly the Latin Beatles!
Great lyrics, vocals, and great musicians! They sound awesome Live! Every concert I've attended (8 total) the crowd chants all the songs and never sits throughout the whole show! Amazing!

As pioneers in their rock-carribean flavored music, Mana let's it all out with this best-of compilation. Whether you have never heard of them or you own 1-2 of their albums, you are guaranteed to enjoy all the tracks on this CD. When living in Mexico about 10 years ago, I saw Mana live about 5 times, from a small 200 person venue to large arena style concerts, and I can say they are as good live as they are in the studio. They rank among my top five best rock bands! This CD will truly add to your collection.

3 albulms In ONE..,great for the spanish tongue........2004-10-14

This triple set CD, gives you a complete transition of "la ley" a group who own's one of the distinctives voices of SPANISH ROCK known to pop culture in recent years.

Those who complain about "la ley" dont find meaning to it because they make no attempt to understand the lyrics. What's a pisser is those who critisize LA LEY, without having the slightest clue how to speak or understand a formal presentation in spanish..Come on.

This albulm wont dissapoint you. If already have two or more albulms ; libertad & unplugged, and any LA LEY albulm before the 1995 cd "INVISIBLE" then you owe it to yourself to buy this albulm.

La Ley & Mana....damn they need to tour together !

Wonderful.......2007-05-12

Truly universal music is supposed to speak to the heart, rather than to the ears. "Lo Esencial Mocedades" is a good case in point. I purchased it because I wanted a fresh remastering of the only hit they had in this country, 1974's exquisite "Eres Tu". But there's much more to this group than that one fluke hit. On every track, the ethereal harmonies lift you away with them, and even though I don't understand a lot of Spanish, the songs are always involving. Though most of the tracks come from the 70s, there are also examples from the 80s of how Mocedades tried to keep their sound fresh, and they succeeded beautifully. Everyone should have "Eres Tu" in their collection (The lame English translation, "Touch the Wind", only available in the flip of the 45, is not here, thank God), but, trust me, you will be swept away by the harmonious beauty that is the music of Mocedades.

After buying many Enrique Guzman CDs, this one "Lo Esencial Enrique Guzman" SMK 95299 is the first that, seems to me, has all original recording of the songs. Other exceptions are CD titled "16 autenticos exitos, Los Teen Tops" Harmony CDDE-90052 and this other:"Serie De Coleccion, 15 Autenticos Exitos Enrique Guzman", Harmony CDDE-90042.

Don't waste your money as I did with the following ones as songs renditions are not the original ones, if you get these CDs at the very least you will be very disappointed:

-Idolos del Rock & Roll Baladas de los 60s, Enrique Guzman Vol.II, ORFEON 25CDR-431.
-La Historia Musical de Enrique Guzman, ORFEON JCD-014.
-Enrique Guzman Y Teen Tops, ORFEON CD20-017. Only some of the songs are original recording, such as the ones with the Teen Tops.
-Enrique Guzman 20 De Coleccion, Sony Latin CDL-81128/2-470612.

UNA COLLECION DE SUS TRES MEJORES DISCOS.......2002-02-06

Yo conoci a Alejandro por primera vez por su cancion corazon partio, creo que fue la cancion que realmente le dio status internacional a Alejandro. La verdad eso fue hace mas de tres anos y desde entonces e comprado todos los discos de Alejandro Sanz, todos hasta el de MTV unplugged y el de El alma al aire con duetos con The Corrs. Y la verdad es que Ale se a vuelto junto con Cristian Castro el cantante que mas admiro y mas quiero. Sobre todo porque escribe todas sus propias canciones y eso para mi me dice que Alejandro es un verdadero genio. Si no tienen viejos discos de Ale les recommiendo y compren este box set porque se enamoraran de sus canciones y querran terminar por comprar sus demas discos, se los aseguro. A mi ya me paso.

So if you already have them do not bother with this "Box set" because it offers nothing new.
