The Siemens Gigaset 2410 2.4 GHz cordless phone is an expandable cordless system for active households or home offices. It provides 2.4 GHz technology for clear sound without static or interference from other cordless phones operating at crowded lower frequencies. It also offers digital spread spectrum technology for security against eavesdropping and provides access to a wide range of convenience features.

Because the Siemens Gigaset 2410 2.4 GHz cordless phone is expandable, only the base needs to be connected to a jack. You can plug a total of four handset chargers into standard power outlets, and you can operate all four handsets simultaneously without doing additional wiring. For example, while you and another user talk to a third party on an outside line, two other users can talk to each other through the intercom feature on their handsets. You can customize each handset with its own ring tones, personalized directory, and extension name and number.

The Siemens Gigaset 2410 includes a three-line backlit graphical display that provides caller ID/call waiting information and easy access to a call log and all other system features. The handset design includes headset jacks for hands-free use and internal antennas to protect them against damage. This phone comes with a one-year warranty.

I've owned this phone for a couple of years and everything works fine except it recharges batteries at a very high charging current which basically kills batteries in short order. Even using the recommended high charge rate Panasonics, they generally only last a six months before being able to sustain a charge

Nice Styling, Poor Sound, Poor Recharging Circuitry.......2001-04-27

The most expensive and the most disappointing of a long line of cordless phones I've owned and operated in Manhattan, including an analog model from Sony and digital models from AT&T and Panasonic.

High marks on looks, but this model has very poor sound quality -- comparable to last-generation walkie-talkies. (I can't count the number of times callers have asked if they'd reached me on my cell phone!) I also found the interface less than intuitive, requiring *three* button clicks to simply redial a number. I should also note that from day one I've experienced extrememly inconsistent recharging cycles.

Perhaps rural or suburban dwellers will experience better sound quality, but I counsel city folk to stay away from this unit.

Sleek, nice sound, but poor durability.......2000-11-14

I loved the styling and sound of the Gigaset but after just a week or two the display on the unit stopped working. The rechargeable battery wouldn't charge some of the time either. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this unit. If you feel the need to buy it though, hang on to the receipt and box and don't be surprised if you find yourself returning it shortly after.

Great new entry from Siemens.......2000-06-13

I tried out a Siemens cordless for the first time while on a trip to Europe last year. I was impressed by the quality of the phone, and so I purchased a Siemens cordless here when i needed a new phone and found out that they were sold in the states. I have been thoroughly impressed with this phone since i purchased it. It is light and compact, yet still easily cradeled. Additionally, the Caller ID database is very helpful. My only wish is that the keypad were lighted. Excellent sound quality, battery life, and ergonomics. I highly recommend this phone. i will be purchasing the additional handsets in the near future-a great feature.
