The SmartMount Universal Flat Wall Mount supports virtually any 10" to 42" flat panel screen. The ultra-slim wall plate keeps the screen close to the wall for a very discreet installation that is perfect for digital signage, POS stations, or office applications. For a quick and easy installation it may be mounted to a single wood stud or concrete. Mounts to metal stud using accessory metal stud fasteners. The mount is well constructed and provides for a number of different vesa screw patterns. We were able to mount the wall plate to a vertical stud in the wall which made for a very secure initial placement. The attachment plate which connected to the back of the LCD attached easily and sturdily as well.

The "blind faith" part of this story comes when attempting to attach the LCD (which in this case was a 37" Olevia 537H, a relatively hefty-weighted unit) to the plate on the wall by trying to line up two small grabbing hooks on the LCD plate to the matching small receiving holes of the wall plate.

After a number of attempts "blindly" trying to estimate the matching placement and hoping the hooks would find their home, we were successful and VERY tired and felt as though we struck a bit of luck! The set screws have an awkward tightening with a VERY long allen wrench, but when all was said and done, the LCD seems secure on the wall.
