The QPS Que! FireWire 2x/4x/24x CD-rewritable drive is for PCs equipped with a FireWire (IEEE 1394) port. This internal drive allows PC users to record, erase, and rewrite CDs again and again at up to 4x write and 2x rewrite speeds. Ideal for archiving and exchanging any kind of data, including MP3 audio, the produced CD-ROM discs hold up to 74 minutes of audio and are fully compatible with all CD-ROM drives and audio players. The QPS Que! FireWire boasts an average access time of 120 milliseconds and up to 3.6 MBps data transfer rate.

The QPS Que! FireWire drive delivers up to 24x read performance on both the CD-R and CD-RW media. It can archive 650 MB of data (1.2 GB if compressed) and comes with 2 MB buffer to support greater application flexibility.

It's just not.......2001-07-30

This piece of equipment i can't really say much about because i actually never got to using it. When i received this product,i immediately went to install it. From the very get-go it was extremely complicated. In order to install it i had to remove the computer screen and so i was like ok, i really dont know how to do that. So i called my brother and his friend who work IN the computer field and both of them said that in order to install it, you had to remove the hard drive. And thought to myself that's insane. So we made a few phone calls to see if a professional would install it and he said he would but it would cost a good $80. And so we figured we freakin spent ... for it to begin with and thats more than half the price of the entire writer. So we're like ok, forget this and we just got an external writer now that works and installs perfectly. My advice is skip the internal, and go for the external. Yeah it cost more money but in the long run its a much better investment.
