Yes this unit is all that they say and works great. But my unit got lost in the mail. It finally arrived 4 weeks later. So much for Amazon's free shipping. It is really annoying waiting for something to ship every day not having it arrive. I'll pay for UPS shipping from now on and skip the aggravation.

Before buying the Plantronics Voyager 510 I read all the reviews I could find. After what some people said, I was a little apprehensive when I finally ordered it. But my apprehension was unwarranted. I've been using it for a week now and it has completely changed my attitude towards my cell phone (which I used to hate). The sound quality is terrific--just like talking to the person face-to-face. And I can hear perfectly even when I'm in the car and the radio is playing. The person I'm talking to can hear me when I'm talking in a normal voice and I've been told that the sound quality is as good as an old fashioned wired phone (remember those?). Unlike one of the other reviewers here, I don't find the on/off button to be located in an awkward place. In fact, all of the controls seem to be well-located. I love the voice-dialing feature, which lets me call someone in my phone book without having to fumble with my phone. (Your phone has to have this capability for it to work, but most newer phones do.) If you'd like to be able to do other things while talking on the phone, get one of these. You won't regret it!

I purchased the Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset because my husband had one and raved about it. I'm more than pleased! It stays on my ear securely and after a very short while, I forget I'm even wearing it. Voice clarity is also good. The on/off button is kind of small and stiff, but that's my only negative.

This unit always synchs up and works perfectly. Every time. Comfortable and good volume, easy to adjust and end calls. No hassles. Strong battery life. More subtle with much of it behind the ear, definitely not as goofy looking as the star-trek-look devices with bright LED's and ear hardware. (I think there should be a law that if you wear ONE of those, you have to wear TWO, thus identifying yourself as a hopeless techno-geek.)

What a Loser!.......2007-06-29

I bought this head set after all of the great reviews I read but I've had nothing but problems. The unit doesn't hold a charge through one average length phone call. I found it difficult to keep the unit in my ear while talking. The Ear piece is so bulky that I could not wear glasses or sunglasses while using it. I have wasted my money on this product.

The Motorola HS850 is the company's update to their HS810 headset, one of my personal favorites. The changes made to produce the new HS850 are few, but the effect is relatively substantial. But first, let's start with what is the same.

Like the HS810, the HS850 makes use of a body design that employs a folding microphone boom. The folding microphone boom acts as the on and off switch, as well as just providing a convenient way to make the headset smaller and more pocketable when not in use. When a call comes into your phone, you can turn on and answer the phone at the same time just by unfolding the microphone boom. You can end the call and turn it off by removing the headset and re-folding it. Using the headset in this way conserves battery power, since no battery juice is wasted on standby time - time where the headset sits around waiting to be contacted by a mobile phone or other compatible device. The physical design of the HS850 and the battery savings it imparts is my favorite aspect of the Motorola HS850.

Of course you don't have to remove and turn off the headset between calls. If the headset is already on when an inbound call comes, you will hear the ringing come through on the headset and can answer it by pressing on the main multi-function call control button. You can end the call with this same button, and adjust volume levels with the two volume buttons. If you are using a phone that supports the Hands Free Bluetooth profile, then you can also use the call control button to reject an inbound call or redial the last number.

The HS850's audio properties are also like those of the HS810 before it. The audio quality in both directions is very clear and understandable, but sounds a bit thin. You and the party on the other end of the call will both be able to understand each other easily, it just doesn't sound as full and natural as it might with some other headsets. The HS850 makes up for this small lacking by having great resistance to wind noise, though. That makes the headset perfect for people that enjoy driving with their windows down, or those that work outside. Most headsets are very susceptible to wind noise, the HS850 bucks that trend.

And now for the new stuff. First up, a more powerful battery. The HS850 I tested managed an amazing 7 hours and 50 minutes of talk time. That is a full two thirds improvement over the older model. The truly amazing part is that this new battery life didn't come at the expense of added weight. Like the HS810 before it, the HS850 weighs only .7oz (19.9g).

The next major change perhaps sounds more important than it worked out to be in reality. The HS850 supports the newer Bluetooth v1.2 spec, whereas most headsets support v1.1 only. Motorola claims that when used with a v1.2 compatible phone (there are still relatively few available at the time I write this), the HS850 will be able to connect faster, use less battery power, and offer improved audio quality. While I can see what appears to be a slight improvement in connection speed, I haven't really noticed much of a change in battery life or audio quality.

The last major change is purely cosmetic. The new HS850 headset is blue-gray in color, like a darker version of the HS810's color. I find it more attractive than the light silver found on the HS810.

But regardless of the color, you can't go wrong with Motorola's HS850, which I consider to be perhaps the best value on the market.

I have owned three of these headsets. They work great for a month or so. Drop them once or twice and thats all she wrote.

Dirty headset.......2007-06-29

I was disappointed when I received my headset; it was a used item and dirty. I notified AccessoryOne and they said it was warehouse dust (of course, without having having a chance to inspect the unit). I took a closer inspection, and it was certainly not dry dust, but skin/dirt/sweat/earwax material, similar to the residue that builds up on computer mice or keyboards over time - sticky, not dry. I did not test the unit and returned it for a refund.

Awesome Headset.......2007-06-28

This is a very good headset. The range is much greater then advertised, I've left this in my room and have been able to walk around the entire house without losing the signal. The battery life is also really good, and only goes out if you've had a 5 hour phone conversation. Even when the battery runs out it charges very quickly, even quicker then my phone. It is relatively simple to link to your phone. It also easily fits inside a pocket when not in use, the folding boom is very nice.

The only thing that dissatisfies me about this headset is that the volume doesn't get all that loud, and is hard to hear in a crowded hallway or someplace like that. Then again, cell phones in general are hard to hear in those circumstances.

Overall, it's a very nice product, and I love the handsfree capability.

Worked as advertised.......2007-06-28

This headset was my 2nd Motorola Bluetooth headset. I purchased this headset to replace a HS500 that I lost. While I liked the HS500, this headset has one major improvement. That is, the boom microphone that folds back when not in use. Folding back the microphone shuts the device off, saving battery life. My other headset required you to push a button to shut the power off. Perhaps it is just me, but I would frequently forget to push the button to shut it off, but folding back the boom when taking this headset off is second nature. This is a big deal to me.
Battery life is excellent. I try to charge the headset every couple of days, but I have gone 3-4 days without charging and have not run out of battery life. Note that I probably only talk for about 1 hour per day and the rest of the on time is standby time.

The volume could be louder but it is fine in most situations. Outside on a windy day is probably the worse situation in terms of volume.

The headset is very light and comfortable to wear. You don't notice it unless you have it on for hours at a time. It fits tight enough that it will not likely fall off unless you plan on playing football with it on.

I don't like the way that the power adaptor fits into the headset. It seems kind of kludgey. The fitting on the HS500 (like a mini USB) was better.

Lastly, I bought this item as a bulk packaged item. I was hesitant because others have posted problems with bulk packaged items. I did not have any problems as you can tell by my review, and would not hesitate to purchase bulk packaged items in the future.

Life saver!.......2007-06-27

I bought the HS850 headset because I drive in Atlanta traffic frequently and need to talk on the phone constantly (sales). This device works very well for me, and allows me to concentrate on the road. It is easy to setup and easy to use and I have no complaints. I bought the bulk package and it had everything I needed, albeit in a bag and not a pretty box.
Definitely worth the price.

Great sound, especially if you really push them far into the ear. Comfortable, but they do have a tendency to slowly make their way out if you move around or run a lot. For the price, they're definitely worth a try.

Pretty Good Quality.......2007-06-28

These buds are very comfortable. Some reviewers have found them to slide out of their ears too easily, but I've had no problem so far. I am satisfied with my twenty dollars worth -- I've had several pairs of other earbuds in the past, including the original ipod, and these are comparable. When I first put them on though I found them to be a little monotone or flat sounding, but I've set my equalizer to "rock" and that seems to balance them out pretty well. The insulation on the earbud itself insulates your ear a bit from the noise, but don't expect any miracles. It's like wearing a not-very-good ear plug. But one with pretty good sound.

I suppose everyone's ears are different but these won't stay in my ear. The slightest tug and out they come. Almost useless. Too bad because they were comfortable and the sound quality seemed pretty good. But if they fall out, What's the point?

Nice little device........2007-06-27

It is tiny, stylish and light.

I don't have any issues keeping it in my ear, thankfully.

The only reason I don't give it 5 is that it has a few issues sometimes with my phone - a Samsung (!) A920, actually.

Sometimes but not often, it will lose connection with the handset. A reboot/power-cycle of both the phone and the WEP200 usually fixes this.

The call-waiting function doesn't work, no matter what key presses I try. I have to end up doing it from the phone. Perhaps others have better luck?

The last-number dialed feature is weird also...seems to work inconsistently. Luckily I don't need it very much and just do it from the phone itself.

In the entire time I have owned it (about 6 months) I have only had to re-pair it with the phone twice in order to solve these issues when they become more frequent.

My theory (and it's only a theory) is that like a computer (especially a Windows machine) the phone "accumulates" errors with the earpiece over time, causing the need for restarts and eventually re-pairs. Hardly catastrophic but a bit annoying.

But as to the sound quality and overall performance plus ergonomics...I doubt this little unit can be beat.

Good BT Headset.......2007-06-21

I've been using this for months after I lost my plantronics 640. I like the size and look alot. At first, it seemed uncomfortable compared to the 640 which was very comfortable. Now, I would say it's not bad. I don't notice it too much when it's in my ear.

Sound quality is good, about the same as the 640. Functionality, it's easy to answer and hang up on calls, but using features such as redail is almost impossible as holding it a second too long will turn off the device.

Battery life is about 2 days with moderate conversation.

I really like the samsung wep. The only problem I have is when I am eating with my bluetooth on. It does not stay in place well. Besides that, I would recommend this device. It is very small and stylish.

Great, with one annoying quirk.......2007-06-16

This is the best headset I've ever used. The fit is just fine and it's easy to forget you even have it on. The loop thing is a little awkward, but it does the job well. Once you get over the feeling that it'll fall out of your ear and realize that it won't, it's just great. The sound quality is just excellent, and my wife doesn't complain about the air conditioner whistling into the microphone like she has with other sets.

So, on to the annoying quirk, which will probably not affect most of you. The thing is, I have a somewhat unusual desire to keep the headset actually in my car. Hard to believe, I know, since no headset maker ever seems to include a car charger for the thing even though the car is the only logical place I can think of to keep it. Since I have a power inverter, I have the tiny charging cradle hardwired to the car, and therein lies the quirk: Placing the headset in the cradle automatically shuts it off. This means that in order to place or receive a call that you have to take it out of the cradle, then hold the power button for four seconds, then press it again to make or receive the call. For making calls that is no big deal, but for receiving calls the four second delay could easily cause you to miss the call, so I often find myself answering the call on the handset and transferring to the headset afterwards. It's a slight annoyance but, again, probably one most people won't run into.

On the plus side, mounting the little charge in the car was very simple. I also can't comment on battery life since it is constantly getting recharged.

This is a great little item, before I received this It was sometimes hard to keep up with my bluethooth headset. Now I put this on the outside pocket of my handbag and I am good to go, I can find it every time. Be careful when puting the headset in the case if you press to hard you will turn you headset back on other wise it is a great little tool

The carrying case was cheap, but it's completely unnecessary. You'll find that it fits too tight on the headset and adds bulk in your pocket. The pricing was cheap enough, but it's really money wasted. I was expecting at least something along the lines of a full cover or a glasses case that could prevent crushing damage.

I lost my previous bluetooth to an auto-accident (yes, it was run over and ended in many pieces!) - all because I dropped it from my pocket! This carrying case clips on my purse securely (or my pocket) so I no longer slip my bluetooth in jeans pockets and then end up fumbling to get it out (which is how I dropped it over a deck to the road). Great product at a very reasonable price!

Here is your basic no thrills case for your bluetooth Headset. IMHO you need something to put your bluetooth into, and here it is. It stretches out, front and back are hard, and elastic holds the sides together with a velcro close on the top that stretches over. On the back is a metal clamp to clip onto your belt or such.

I have the HS850 and this case is perfect. Since my bluetooth device folds, there is no issue with the button being pressed. In fact, it never presses on the button.

Good Product.......2007-06-27

I read a lot of negative reviews about this product, but it works great for me. I did pair it with a motoral E518, and it was made to use the H500. It works great indoors and in the car, but not so great with wind, and while driving with your windows down. You will have to roll up your windows to be heard effectivly. But let me tell you, I paid $25 for this gadget, so the price is definietly worth it. For the price and great product to have.

Pretty Good In Mild Surroundings.......2007-06-20

This is really a fine set for most regular conditions. However; I drive semi and even though todays trucks are fairly quiet inside it's still a bit too noisy for using while going down the road (Although I have no problem when I use it driving my personal vehicle down the road). The biggest problem while on the road or any place where there's some background noise is with the automatic dialing. Very seldom does it come across clear enough for the phone to recognise who it is you want to dial.

The other problem is more prevelant when talking to someone on another cell phone. Sometimes it's difficult for them to understand you while going down the road too. Although it does sometimes happen with land lines, I've only had a couple incidents with those compared to several when talking with someone on another cell.

I've moved this unit home so I can use it in milder conditions and will be looiking for the Bluetooth headsets that have the mic on a stem that comes down to the mouth. My older headsets (Not Bluetooth) were that way and generally I had no problem being understood while on the road. But if you're looking for a good headset for general every day use I think you get your money worth with this one...

Be Careful!!.......2007-06-16

Quality wise this is a pretty decent headset - no complaints there. However due to the shortsightedness of its design, I find that it constantly calls the last person I had a conversation with without me even knowing it (whether they called me or I called them to begin with). This results in a number of embarrassing situations that you later have to explain to people (hopefully people who understand) such as why you called them while humming a tune sitting on your toilet or other such real life situations that you don't necessarily want "company" for.

Basically, the heaset is set to call whoever is on your call log list so long as the middle button is held down for 2 seconds then released. In your pocket, this happens quite a bit more than you would think. So you choices are to either shut it off each and every time you use it (hard to remember sometimes) or just endure the fun! Also, because it can be hooked to voice dialing, there have been times where it has called the person who it thought it heard me trying to call while in my pocket.

Basically, all Motorola would have needed to do is either provide a way to disable these features or make the button a bit less easy to get pressed while in your pocket. Oh well . . enjoy!

I was very disappointed........2007-06-13

I was very excited to have the hands free, but people keep complaining that they can't hear/understand me. It is very frustrating. It feels loose on my ear like it might come off, but it doesn't. I guess I got too excited reading the rave reviews saying how crystal clear the sound was. The hands free in my car is better. It just didn't back up the hype.
Otherwise, it works, it is pretty easy to use & very easy to set up.

Headset is great in the car or in the house. When you are outside in the wind or at a noisy location..it blows. For my usage it works fine. I originally bought this from the T-Mobile store for about 2X the price on Amazon. I lost it, so the better price made my anger from losing the headset a little better.

Overall a great product. I have the Motorola RAZR phone so I originally bought the matching RAZR headset, (also made by Motorola), but as soon as I opened the package, one of the volume buttons didn't work. I of course returned it and then decided to do some research to find what headsets had the best performance. While researching, I found that other people had encountered the non-working volume button issue with the RAZR headsets. So you might want to stay away from those. I ultimately decided on this headset based on these aspects: light weight, good battery life and good reviews (durable, good volume, ease of use, longevity), the looks are pretty good too. I read many reviews on all different models, and overall what I read about this headset was that it was pretty reliable and people were pleased with it, plus the thing was like $30 with shipping. I use it all the time, no problems yet and no complaints.

After a small amount of screwing around the H500 connected with my
Nokia N75 without a hitch. I find that if you firmly place the ear
loop around the base of the ear and then fold in the receiver in fits
firmly and doesn't come loose. I agree that the volume could go higher;
however, in a quiet room it is adequate. I'm told that I'm clearly
heard on the other end of the connection. This is also in a quiet room.
Small and lite. I think this a rather nifty piece of gear.

Very disappointed.......2007-06-29

Don't buy this product if you value sound quality; you will just end up returning it. I'm in the process of returning this product because of the poor quality. I'm giving it 2-stars because it is marginally functional: it did partner with my T-Mobile Wing easily and you can hear sound once partnered. However, here is the bad:

1. The sound quality is very, very poor. There was a constant static/tinniness to the tone. With the exception of low end bass, the ear buds that came with the phone have a far superior sound quality to this product.

2. The Bluetooth connection would occasionally (maybe 2-3 seconds out of every minute) cut out, even though I was completely immobile and within 3 feet of the transmitting device.

3. Not adjustable for head size. So if you have a larger or smaller than average head these phones will be cutting into your ears in about 4 places.

4. The blinking lights are absolutely stupid since the operator can't see them when in use. While wearing them, you look like some kind of nerdy cyborg.

Just got this headset recently. It's really a good buy. I can listen to music on my ipod (bought jabra a125s adapter) and connect the headset to my cell phone at the same time. The music pauses when I answer a call and restarts when the call ends.

Only problem is that the headsets do hurt my ears from extended use. Also, when I connect it to my desktop, I have to make sure I disable all other speakers before using the headsets then open the music/video programs.

Other than those cons, I pretty much love the headset. I can wear them during work just fine and it's battery life would last the whole 8 hours. So, I can just charge the headset when I'm not at work. =D

Reunited with an old flame..........2007-06-14

I've had my T-mobile MDA for just over 7 months now and due to this fact, I stopped carrying my iPod around during my commute in the morning. Soon afterward, I guess I stopped listening to music during my walk to work altogether. I didn't really think too much of it, until I bought these headphones!

The sound quality is so much better than the stock headphones that come with the MDA. I realized that ever since my MDA (w/ the terrible headphones) became my default music player, I stopped listening to it as much. But ever since I received the HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headset, I've actually been able to listen to my songs from my MDA and enjoy my music once again!

I wouldn't recommend these to an audiophile, but for anyone that's looking for a bluetooth/wireless headphone solution for their portable music player/PDA/PPC (that has A2DP) I would highly recommend this product!

Also, you can't beat the current price!

A good product.......2007-06-13

The only complaint I have about these headphones is that it takes awhile to get comfortable wearing them. They seem to rub in just a couple of places on the head, so it can cause irritation. After about a week though, I no longer notice it.

Operation is simple and the battery-life is superb. I usually charge about once every 2 weeks, using it for about an hour a day while I jog. I had some worries at first that they wouldn't stay in place while jogging (never used this exact style of headphones before) but they don't move an inch. I've only taken a few calls with the headset, but it seems to work pretty well, people understand me just fine, and this is outside in the wind. MP3s sound crystal clear from my phone (sgh-a707) using A2DP to get true stereo sound. It was definitely a great purchase for use while working out.

Overall very pleased with my Jabra BT500 Bluetooth headset. My fav feature is it's design and light weight. It hardly feels like it's on my ear at all. With my ears I find that using the extra deep ear cushion brings the sound further into my ear, although the rubber piece tends to slip off more easily than I'd like in my pocket, for example.
