The sound is good from the Miniblaster, but getting my Ipod in and out of it is a real chore!! It is very difficult to do. It not only is very hard to place in the miniblaster, but getting it out is even worse. I like the size of it as it doesn't take up a lot of room when I place it on the counter. Just difficult to use. It is also hard to adjust the volume with the "skin" on it.

Horrible Speakers-Do Not Buy!!!.......2007-05-18

I bought these speakers thinking they would be great at high volumes and you could play them for a small crowd.
But afterall, these speakers don't go up to very high volumes without distortion. My advice is to spend your money on higher quality speakers.

very dissappointing.......2007-04-03

I was excited about this product from reading previous reviews. However, I did not find the product satisfactory. First off - it's very difficult to place the Ipod into the device. It requires the Ipod be placed in a rubberized sleeve and forced into a narrow slot. It is very difficult to properly connect it or remove it when done. The sound quality was much less than expected - it was distorted and grainy at higher volumes. The price is great - which is what attracted me. But if you want any quality at all you're going to have to pay more.

For the size, I'm amazed at how well the sound is and I love the portability! I can take it anywhere and what I love most is that I can share my IPOD music with whomever is with me - no matter where we are and I don't have to have a large unit to do it with. This will even fit in your pocket if you need it to! My friend bought one the minute she saw mine, it is really that good.

I was looking for something that could plug into my nano via a wire and I got better. No wires!!! This product not only looks like it was made for the nano but puts out an awesome sound for being such a small unit. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a clean look and puts a clear crisp sound. Amazing!!!

Excellent Company.......2007-06-11

My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.

We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably

Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!

He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.

I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation

What a disappointment........2007-05-26

On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!

*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!

*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better

*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!

I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

Amazing small I-Pod speakers!.......2007-01-19

I received an I-Pod for a gift but am not always comfortble with speakers in my ears. i searched a number of web sites for small and affordable speakers and found these. I was influenced by the good reviews and can only add my own endorsement. The MiniBlaster is just that. Great sound, portablility and for me, great for travel. Since I go to Europe at least once a year I love the fact that I can use batteries and not worry about power conversion. I would highly recommend these speakers. A lot of "bang for the buck".

These speakers are barely audible. So not worth the money. They sound like you're listening to a speaker out of a soda can. I would never but them again.
