Amazon.com Product Description
With a 15-inch speaker driver and 350 watts of rump-kicking power, the JBL PSW-D115 powered subwoofer promises to deliver tight, clean bass while freeing your amplifier to do a better job with the midrange and high frequencies. The sub's ability to deliver solid bass down to 25 Hz helps transform your stereo system into a powerful home theater system, producing sound waves that you feel as well as hear.
The JBL PSW-D115's high-output digital amplifier exhibits lower distortion than conventional amplifiers. Adjustable low-pass and high-pass controls allow the subwoofer to seamlessly blend with any speaker system.
Direct Input bypasses the internal crossovers for use with Dolby Digital and DTS receivers and processors, which already include the subwoofer crossover. Alternately, you can feed the sub from the speaker-level outputs on your amplifier or receiver, passing everything above 180 Hz on to your speakers from the PSW-D115's speaker-level outputs and letting the sub handle the heavy-duty bass work.
The PSW-D115 measures 20 by 20 by 21.75 inches. The speaker includes a one-year warranty on the speaker amplifier, a two-year parts and labor warranty on the speaker enclosures, and a five-year parts and labor warranty on the driver and internal components.

Invite the neighbors over for a movie night - with this speaker, chances are they'll hear what you're watching anyway. It features adjustable low-pass and high-pass controls that allow the subwoofer to seamlessly blend with any speaker system. Direct Input bypasses the internal crossovers are for use with Dolby Digital and D.T.S. receivers/processors that already include the subwoofer crossover.
Customer Reviews:
impressive.......2002-02-05
i purchased this unit with hopes of experiencing the true essence of low frequency response.this item delivers it's expected purpose. i bought a 10-inch model three years ago. i was so impressed by this model,i use it with my home theater system . the 10inch model can produce low frequencies more accurately than most 12-15 models of other brands out there.this lead to my curiosity about a larger jbl sub unit .i've owned and used this unit for a year , it never dissapointed me.i hope your neighbors are nice people ,you'll be gettin lots of visits and calls from them, trust me. my only problem with this unit is it's size , it's huge and kind of awkward. placement of this unit is a very easy task, it fills the room with exceptional low end virtually anywhere you place it . without getting all technical,i hope this information is helpful.
Very Good Subwoofer.......2001-11-11
(...) This sub is very good. It does an exceptional job handling the ultra-low end, which is what I have it doing (100Hz and lower). This sub is similar to the Audio Source 200 Watt 15" subwoofer but heavier by a bit, a little larger and quite a bit louder. The digital amplifier certaintly does keep a flat frequency response. This sub is definately great for everyday bass used quitely and very good for loud parties (which is partly why I bought it). (...)
Buyer Beware.......2000-12-01
This subwoofer sounds pretty good, and it certainly doesn't lack any punch, but...two things to consider before buying this subwoofer. One, it is HUGE- there will be no hiding this thing. Two, I had mine less than 3 months before it broke. it is still under warranty, but this thing is no picnic to load into the car and drive 50 miles to get fixed. I suggest before you buy, check JBL's website to see how close the closest service location is and clear out a BIG open space near your receiver.
So Far So Good.......2000-11-22
I just bought this week. I debated with myself for over two years regarding the need for a sub. I currently use 6 JBL 4312's and a couple of LX-55's in my system. I didn't think I could get much better than that. Boy was I wrong. This sub added so much warmth to the music. I have not tried it with any movies yet, but the music so much better. It also reduced the power demands on my power amps for the other speakers since they don't have to attempt to reproduce the low frequencies. Setup of this sub is extremely easy. Had it up an running in about 20 minutes. The hardest part was getting itin the house up the stairs after UPS dropped it off. It is heavy and much bigger than I thought it would be. (81 Pounds Shipping according to UPS)
If you don't have a large room, I would reccommend the smaller 12" or 10 " sub. This thing is a monster, but the sound is incredible, so far.
I plan to put it through the paces over Thanksgiving.
A great Sub!.......2000-09-14
I have two of these, and would not recomend buying more than one. If you want more bass than this one can put out I sugest you go with a bigger sub.
