Old Reliable.......2006-10-30

Guys, forget all of the new-fangled iPod or Sony Walkman devices out. Just buy this. Why? It's perfect. Provides a rich sound (coupled with my Philips SBC-HS386 headphones) and it NEVER SKIPS. The reviewer below me might have got a defect, or has the ESP (Electronic Skip Protection) off. I tell, you, I nicknamed mine Old Reliable. No problem with it, it looks cool, allowing you to see the CD as it spins. I've been through many, and I mean many, CDs with this thing. I love you Old Reliable.

Up Side: CD player sent down from Jesus himself to allow us to listen to music in its purest form.

Down Side: Sheer greatness of this CD player may cause heads to explode upon being touched. You've been forewarned.

I've had this CD player for over four years now and it still works beautifully. Very reliable. Gave it a good jolt once and even dropped it, but everything snapped back into place and it kept on running. This is built to last.

Just Spend an Extra 10 bucks On the Mp3/Disc.......2005-11-04

My experience with this discman lasted me a pretty long time, before it just wouldn't recognize any disc at all. But don't worry, that was about 3 years after i got it. It plays good, the menus are exceptional, but i am wondering why anyone would want this, when you can get the Mp3 / disc player from Philips for twenty dollars more. They are 20 times more high-tech, the menus actually give you the titles of song names (at least most of them) and they truly are jogproof. This is barely jogproof. It only has 45 second shock proof while the new mp3 disc player i got has unlimited. Trust me, you'll be happier if you left this one alone

good up until now.......2005-10-01

i have had this product for 4 years, and it has served me well ever since i got it. i never do too much physical activity with it, but what i do do it doesnt really skip. however, about 3 days ago it started acting funny. now the sound only comes out of one of the headphones. it drives me crazy, it's so annoying. i suppose i'm lucky to get 4 years out of this, but it still dissapoints me.

I use my cd player at work with the wire going through my coveralls as I work at a fast pace 40hrs a wk. and it wasn't until I dropped it on the concrete after 4 yrs, yes 4 yrs 40hrs a wk, cd after cd, great sound (only to be complimented by radio shacks pro35 stereo headphones)did it need to be replaced. An absolute quality product. The best cd player I've ever had and believe me I know music.
