Each speaker boasts a 5.5-inch injection-molded polypropylene cone woofer with a nitril rubber surround and a molded Spherex copolymer basket that eliminates the "ringing" common to many models. Meanwhile, each 0.5-inch aluminum dome tweeter features a cloth suspension that produces a superb transient response, along with a tuned Ultrasonic Acoustic Filter (UAF) that optimizes dispersion and protects the ultra-light dome. The end result of the driver technology is natural highs, rich midrange tones, and deep, musical bass.Of course, modern speakers need to look as good as they sound, and the eXL-15s excel in this area as well. The speakers are enriched by a bold, slim cabinet with a white finish that easily integrates into any home environment. Adding to the cabinets' value is the thick medium-density fiberboard (MDF) construction, which features Energy's Interloc 360 bracing system to reduce resonance and improve bass performance.

Units such as the eXL-25, eXL-26, or eXL-28 floorstanding models make great front speakers, while the eXL-C or eXL-C2 can handle the center channel.
