About the Artist
Tnoc first hit the local scene in 2001 where he dropped rhymes at open mic sessions at various local bars. Getting positive feedback on his lyrical ability, it wasnt long before Tnoc started rehearsing with long time friends DJ B-Spaz and fellow MC, Mr. O (Oh-Me-Ga). Tnoc then officially joined the already performing drum and bass quartet "The Collective." Performing then under alias "The Tommyknocker", the group consisted of 2 djs and 2 mcs. The djs brought dope mixing and beat matching to the table, as well as B-Spazs ridiculous, unorthodox, stunts he would pull while scratching; which earned him the nickname "The Turntable Sideshow." The group incorporated many different styles , with the mcs flipping from hip hop to jungle to reggae styles. Eventually Mr. O took an indefinite hiatus from the group. It was then that former group member the Nemesis N4cer rejoined The Collective. The group performed at many different bars, clubs, and other events throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts. Eventually the group took over running a drum and bass/ break beat weekly at The Blues Café in New Haven. This weekly continued on for several months with a positive response. Eventually Mr. O returned to the group, and also performing now was another dj, Soundburrier. This led to some crazy tag team battles consisting of 3 djs and 3 mcs. Things were really looking up for The Collective. Of course though all good things must come to an end. Due to certain personal problems the group made the decision to go their separate ways. The Tommyknocker all but dropped off the face of the earth for the next year except for a cameo reunion show in Bridgeport with B-Spaz in late 2002. The Tommyknocker or now otherwise known as Tnoc, had been in the studio putting in long hard hours recording his debut solo album "Lyricism 101." Tnoc made the decision to return back to his hip hop roots and try his efforts as a solo artist. The Tnoc of today is a 23 year old lyricist/m.c./producer from Connecticut. He has been writing rhymes since the age of 13, and is exploding on the scene with his own experimental style of abstract, psychedelic, hip hop. Future albums will include drum and bass as well as other genres. Deep metaphors and complex rhyme patterns mark his distinctive style with spacy, sometimes, creepy beats to complement. He is intent on his goal of bringing the lyricism back to hip hop and steering away from the materialistic, commercial image which it has assumed. Tnoc musically brings a little old school rap influence, as well as electronica, and even heavy metal. Featuring such up and coming artists as singer/songwriter Larissa DeLorenzo, lyrical mastermind Rimeone, and infamous producer/singer Cidney Drip. Tnoc is determined to challenge himself lyrically and musically, and continually push the limits of hip hop.
Tnoc is currently performing live in conjunction with the Microdahts.

While This Is His First CD............2005-07-23
Step into the mind of drug induced fairy tails, step into the mind of the maniac. I have experienced first hand the talent this man posses, I went to S.A.F.E. with this man, I'm the one who told him he would never be nothing, and today he is doing more with his life than I could ever fathom.
His music is unique, and something most people are not use to, but to fully understand this music, you must look past the lyrics, and put your ass in his shoes, and the crap he has seen, and went through.
Best of luck TNOC, and all future releases..
