About the Artist
Plan: Be originally formed from a group of childhood friends in the isolated Appalachian town of Cumberland, Maryland. While never forgetting its semi-rural origins, the group has recently moved on to larger realms; calling the inimitable city of Washington, DC its home for the past several years. This multi-talented foursome (the group does all of its own writing, production, artwork and design, website design and maintenance) has developed a distinctive but hard-to-define sound formed around the unique abilities, tastes, and philosophies of the individual group members. The group has been accumulating material for their debut album, Antiform, since early 2001.
Product Description
Antiform is likely the most unique hip-hop album in its area of immediate release. The members of Plan: Be have individually embraced different aspects of the genre and culture of hip-hop, and Antiform is the result of allowing these four dissimilar minds and outlooks to come together in various combinations. The result is material that veers sharply away from the typical -- a mosaic of sorts, unified by the common thread of the skill, quality, and depth of the Plan: Be emcees.
