Money Is Still A Major Issue [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Following his Gold-certified debut album, "M.I.A.M.I.", Pitbull returns with "Money Is Still A Major Issue."

2005 was a stellar year of Pitbull guest appearances and tours, including a spot assisting labelmate Lil Jon on the Anger Management Tour with Eminem and 50 Cent. The new album compiles remixes of hits from "M.I.A.M.I." including "Culo" feat. Ivy Queen, "Dammit Man" feat. Lil Wayne & Lil Flip and "Toma" feat. Beenie Man and Wayne Wonder & more. Also songs Pitbull has been featured on: "Turnin' Me On" by Nina Skyy, "She's Hot" by T.O.K. and his collaboration "Shake" with fellow TVT Records' rappers Ying Yang Twins.

Unreleased material is included too--among the tracks are the new single with Pretty Ricky, "Everybody Get Up" and Brisco, "Might Be The Police." A DVD rounds out the package with the Miami based rapper's three hit videos, plus 20 minutes of live performances and interview footage.

3 out of 5 stars monry is still a major issue- pitbull.......2006-03-10

if you like pitbull, and you wanna know what material he has done get it. i thought it was good but not as good as MIAMI. alot of callaberations which is cool

5 out of 5 stars A great CD.......2006-03-07

I am new to this type of music and my spanish is very poor but without knowing all the words I know this is the hottest CD I own. The music is great and you get free videos on the second disc which is a good deal compared to other rappers that have only 1 good song and that's it.

4 out of 5 stars M.I.Still.A.M.I........2006-01-02

This album had many of the same sounds of most of his songs, but he decided for this album to include more of the popular underground reggaeton flavor as well as dancehal. Also most of the songs are collaborations with other artists, so each had its own sound.

Everybody Get Up ft. Pretty Ricky - 3/5

This song sounded more like Pitbull's previous albums, but also Pretty Ricky wasn't too noticeable in the song.

Rah Rah ft. Elephant Man and Daddy Yankee - 4.5/5

Has more of a reggae sound to it, Elephant Man and Daddy Yankee are pretty much dominating the song throughout. Overall a hard staccato sounding song with Pitbull's distinguishable voice.

Shake Remix ft. Ying Yang Twins and Elephant Man - 4.5/5

One of Pitbull's singles that is being pushed into the media. Basically repeats the same phrases many times with a catchy beat and hard hitting sounds.

Culo Remix ft. Lil Jon and Ivy Queen - 4/5

This song could have been a 5/5, but Lil Jon's repetitive phrases that have finally become plain annoying ruins much of the song. More of a dance song with a reggaeton sound when Ivy Queen comes in with her distinctive masculine voice. Basically sounds like the original version, just with a new verse by Ivy Queen; beat stayed the same.

Mil Amores ft. Master Joe and O.G. Black - 5/5

One of my favorites. More of a song for reggaeton lovers. Has a very stereotypical reggaeton beat. Most of the song is in spanish, even Pitbull's verse. Master Joe and O.G. Black basically domineer the whole song with a catchy chorus.

Turnin Me On Remix ft. Nina Sky - 4/5

Could have been a higher rating, but the song barely has any modifications compare to the original. It only has a few sounds added to the beat and a slightly different verse and chorus by Nicole and Natalie Albino (Nina Sky). Pitbull's verse are a mix of english and spanish, but when remembering the song Nina Sky's part is more memorable.

She's Hotter ft. T.O.K. - 5/5

My other favorite of the album. Has a verrrryyy catchy beat accompanied with a very catchy chorus by T.O.K. Again it has a dancehall flavor; sounds like a song that could and should be played in a club. Pitbull's verse is again his same stereotypical voice rapping the same rhymes.

Got to Poppin ft. Rich Boy - 3.5/5

Has a reggaeton/arabic sounding beat with Pitbull's famous scream that he always does. More of a Pitbull sounding song; sounds more like how he started. Rich Boy's part is very unoticeable; sounds like a typical rapper.

Might Be the Police ft. Brisco - 4/5

Memories of Pitbull's original sound with a typical Pitbull beat. Brisco's part blends in with the song. Also the beat sounds more like a crunk with a lot of horns beat.

Who U Rollin With ft. Picalo - 3/5

At first the beat is very annoying and doesn't necessarily go with the bars Pitbull is putting out. Also at parts has a screwed and chopped sounds that sounds out of place.

Dammit Man Remix ft. Lil Flip - 3.5/5

Again like the other remixes Pitbull put out, sounds much like the original. Little modifications to the beat with an additional verse by Lil Flip.

Oh No He Didn't ft. Cubo - 4.5/5

One of the songs on this album that has Pitbull's sound to it, but more appealing. More of a Hip-Hop/Rap sound to it like the previous tracks. Cubo's verse sounds like a mimmick of Pitbull's repetitive words.

Toma DJ Buddha Remix ft. Lil Jon, Mr. Vegas, Wayne Marshall, Red Rat, T.O.K. and Kardinal Offishall - 4/5

One more time a remix that has the same beat, just mixed with some reggae/dancehall verses by the following people. Sounds like a typical DJ remix. Pitbull is shrouded, all that is heard of him is his 'toma'.

2 out of 5 stars Money is an issue, but not that much........2005-11-16

Pitbull's 3rd album from the 2004 M.I.A.M.I brings something at least different, though not much else, despite some good beats and some good songs, pitbull is just flat and distorted.

This is a somewhat album

Music Rating **1/2 Stars.

So a marginal thumbs down for me.
