Roscoe's single "Smooth Sailin" (2003) from his debut album "Young Roscoe Philiphornia" is a a memorable chilled out track with a relaxed beat and a smooth chorus. Earth, Wind, and Fire sample (Brazilian Rhyme) is used well, and Roscoe delivers with a laid back flow while talking about himself, life and summertime in Cali. Love listening to this while relaxing or cruising in my ride. Not surprised to have heard this track blow up on the radio and get regular play at the clubs as in my opinion this is the summertime track of 2003. From what I have heard Roscoe's album has not sold alot due mostly to poor promotion, as someone who has it I recommend copping it, and getting to know one of West Coast Hip Hop's up and coming MC's.
