5 out of 5 stars tell it to em MOKE!.......2006-02-23

call me crazy but i liked LDS over LG.

LG was my first moka pickup ever, and i got it like that summer it came out. it was the JAM!! i was like, where is this cat from? dang...

ever since then ive been on the moka bandwagon. common is my fave artist of all time, and then, after listening to LG and some of his rare stuff--i made that connection.

i like moka because he's himself--no frontin involved, plus i can easily relate to his lyrics; he talks about anything and everything-- plus he puts out lots of trax and doesnt CARE what people think!!

i like the whole album really, the only track i hate is WHAT I DO, but tracks like:

3. Lowdown Suite
9. Rockin' It
12. Livin' In A Dream (my fave)
15. Way 2 Warm
16. Magnificent Ft. Ishkan (my 2nd fave)
17. Love Comes
18. Finally Throo

make up for it. the album starts a lil slow, then like the last half bangs...

5 out of 5 stars Moka Only comes with it.......2004-02-28

1 out of 5 stars Total dissapointment.......2003-11-06

This is definitely the only awful cd that I have ever heard from Battle Axe records. The lyrics are ok but everything else needs extreme work. The beats are slow, boring, and uninteresting. The production on this cd is not very good which leads to very poor quality of sound for the cd in general. Moka shines on everything else he does but this one takes the taco for him and Battle Axe as being terrible. For underground rap not getting too much recognition in general this one is definitely deceiving.

5 out of 5 stars What's love?.......2003-09-07

Really I give this Album 4 and a Half stars

My Man Moka..

This Album is a relfection of a state of mind, and in this case whats on Moka's mind is L O V E and all of the relationships, situations, thoughts, Ideas, etc that can be described as "Love". Love for your art and music , Love for your giril, "love" for love.

A laid back album with a few popping joints moslty chanting about life, love, and why we can't ever seem to figure it out. It's A more Mature Moka Sound. I dig it. check out these trax below. Oh' and look for the bonus track at the end of this LP.

Bonis~

5 out of 5 stars If only there were more stars...!.......2003-08-22

I picked up Lowdown Suite as soon as I could, and I payed a rather nice chunk of money on it too! But it was well worth every penny! It was supossed to be released back on June 3rd, but somehow it came out sooner, which was more than fine with me. Overall, Lowdown Suite is HOTT! There's not a bad track on it, and Moka continues to prove he is definatly one of the west coasts most prolific Emcees. Some of the best tracks would have to be ''What I Do'', ''Oh Gina'', ''Moon Burn''..ahh..There's just too many. Oh yeah...Look out..In between tracks 3 and 4, if you turn the volume up enough, you might hear something.
