About the Artist
Diem Jones is a poet, arts administrator and musician living in Oakland, California. Jones is a renowned photographer, and has authored #1 Bimini road, a photo history of George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic in the 1970s. He is the Executive Director of The Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation and coordinator of the Voices Writers Workshops (University of San Francisco), focused on writers-of-color. Jones is also currently Director of Grants Programs for Arts Council Silicon Valley and has also served as the Administrative Director of East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, Director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Saint Marys College, National Director of WritersCorps and Co-Director of Associated Writing Programs.
