About the Artist
A.M.M.O.'s new album "Respect My Gangsta" can be compared to the same sneak attack perpetrated by 50 Cent. It's an Independent release done on his own terms. 50 Cent was an acquaintance of A.M.M.O. when he was signed to Island/Def Jam under Jimmy Henchmen in 1996. They both wrote songs together for Suga (formally know as "Sweet T") another Henchmen artist signed to Jam Master Jay's JMJ/DEF JAM Label.

A.M.M.O. not only worked with 50 Cent, but also recorded songs with an All-Star cast for his Island/Def Jam album entitled "Let It Be Known"; Artists such as, Memphis Bleek, Rass Kass, Praz "of the Fugees", Jaz-O, The Ranjah's "Carter Faculty", Salt from Salt-N-Pepa, Bryce Wilson, and Kelly Price. A.M.M.O. recalls the time when Jimmy Henchmen introduced him to Jam Master Jay and The Def Jam staff as the next big thing. Island agreed and many platinum artists showed their support by being featured on his album.

Tragically, at the time Seagrams bought out Polygram and in 1999 A.M.M.O. had to sever ties with Island Def Jam. After all the build up and a completed album everything was taken away.

He took a year off to clear his head. Then with new determination formed G-FOLK RECORDS with partner and friend Ruben Cobos a.k.a Ru 1. Together they put this amazing Independent album out, totally written by A.M.M.O. and produced by Ru 1 and A.M.M.O. So get ready. This aint no new kid on the block!!! This is another upcoming rap legend, that everyone forgot about!!! The wait is OVA, A.M.M.O. IS THE NEXT PROBLEM!!!
