5 out of 5 stars 2nd entry.......2006-07-13

Great CD..Got it when it came out summer 04...Wasn't overly pleased by it at first..finally had the time to really "listen" to the lyrics and all the songs....Great CD. Good beats
I like "Oh it's on", Be country, and "get on dis motorcycle"
The beats from get on dis motorcycle are still bangin in my head.
Can't wait for his next album!

5 out of 5 stars What A Suprise.......2006-04-05

This album to me was a suprise I like Petey but I didnt really get into his first album that much and Iam not a big fan of southern rap
This album I crunked the whole summer in the car with tons of guests on the cd
The beats are great
I would recommend this album even to those who dont like southern rap that much and especially to a Petey fan this is defenitly better than his first cd

4 out of 5 stars This album was a very superb surprise........2006-01-11

I would have never guessed a year ago I'd listen to Petey Pablo. I'd have never guessed in an eon or two that I'd be rating one of his albums with the equivalent of an A-.

Just listen to the last five songs of this album in sucession, you'll understand.

Highlights: 'Roll off', 'He Spoke to Me', 'Vibrate'

www.realmusiccrusaders.com - fighting to save music from sellout corporate record labels.

petey pablo is, in my opionion, one of the greatest rappers going today. he has an uncanny ability to basically ride ANY beat whatsoever. when listening to this album, i am taken aback by how he can change his flow up to 5 times in the SAME VERSE and not make the song sound cheezy or overdone. i think that he has one of the best flows in rap since tupac. what amazes me the most is that some of these songs have beats that shouldn't even be classified as a rap beat. how many other rappers use a series of clicks and a horn to make a beat (stick em' up), or using a banjo as part of a beat (lets roc). enough of that..on to bigger things. over the last year or so, i have heard rappers say something to the affect of, "when tupac died his soul went into me. im conflicted." some other rappers feel the need to dress like tupac, have the same mannerisms as tupac, and basically rip off everything that tupac was rather then to forge their own path, not to mention any names imparticular(scrappy, buck, rule). it is quite possible for these rappers to be conflicted (nothing against these rappers), but if you want to talk about a person who is truly conflicted, you need not look any farther. petey pablo is one conflicted man. in his album, he talks about loving jesus......and sex. one song is about getting women high before nailing them (freek a leek), another is about how he will never forget his country roots (be country), and another is about how he loves god (he spoke to me). most of this album is club jammers and good rap songs (jam yall, part two, stick em up) and then halfway through the album he says a little speach and ends it with "this is for the adults." for the next few songs he shows a much more serious side to his musical style by writing songs about god and how much he loves his hometown (be country, roll off, he spoke to me). this is true confliction if you ask me. also, petey has a part during the album where he prays to jesus saying that he will walk through this life that he has given him to live. whether or not petey is a christian or spiritual person will be left to your imagination. petey is a great rapper and producer. he has two albums under his belt he shows no sign of slowing down. 2nd entry is a solid album with a point to it. definitely worth the money. and dont forget

This album is definitely a getter but this guy raps about girls too much (so do sum other guyz but i like them) but he has good beats and a good flow, and he knowz what hez talkin' bout. so if ur a Petey Pablo fan u can get it and enjoy it if not u can make that decision for urself. Some other good rapperz like him are 8 Ball and MJG, or Ying Yang Twins.
