When the late Eazy-E introduced Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to the world in 1994, the Grammy-winning quintet placed Cleveland on the rap map with their gospel-tinged vocal harmonies and nefarious triple-time rhymes. Years later, the crew doesn't mess with their distinct trademark formula, still utilizing speedy, sometimes undecipherable, flows on the slum symphony "Pump, Pump," while boasting that they can "harmonize like the Temptations" on "Guess Who's Back," a bouncy Organized Noize-produced rhythm track. As for the crew's subject matter, it's as crude as ever. "Not My Baby," for example, sheds light on a touchy subject that seems to plague oversexed emcees--that is, paternity tests to prove whether "groupie" claims are legit (the crew chants "ain't mine, not mine"). Sure, only Eazy-E (up in heaven) knows why they sampled Phil Collins's "Take Me Home" ("Home"), but not since the "1st of tha Month," their remarkable ode to "gubment" cheese, has the crew sounded so tight. Eazy-E must be grinning somewhere. --Dalton Higgins

5 out of 5 stars Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.......2007-04-04

Another classic album by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. The Best songs are Home, Get Up and Get It, Bad Weed Blues, Money Money, Not My Baby, and Cleveland Is The City.

2 out of 5 stars The Fall Of Bone Thugs and Harmony.......2007-03-23

I have been listening to Bone since they were rocking fades on their first album cover. I always thought they were great and the fact that they took the world by storm amazes me. This album being bad is kind of odd since the one that came before it was good(BTNH Resurrection). The main problem is that they sound pretty bored on this album. Not only that but most of the production is awful. Standout Tracks: BONE BONE BONE is classic Bone Thugs and HOME(featuring Phil Collins) is great plus I used to listen to the old Phil Collins record that they sampled. GET UP & GET IT is not bad and PUMP PUMP is another vintage Bone Thugs And Harmony track. These tracks are great but the rest of the album is this. Filler: Bad Weed Blues(I stopped smoking after hearing this one literally), Money Money( boring, boring), Guess Who's Back(horrible plus why would you sample that campy tune anyway?), Cleveland Is The City(boring plus was Avant on the track called for?), All The Way and the rest of the album. Bottom Line: This is Bone Thugs's worst album period! Boring beats, bland vocals just a bad album period. I've heard Thug Stories and its a lot better than this one but their still not the same as I remembered them.

4 out of 5 stars Turn it up on your stereo.......2007-02-22

This is a pretty slammin' album. Some of their more popular hits are not on this CD, since BTNH have released many albums in their time, but there are still enough good tracks on here to keep the CD playing for a while. With their unique style of rap, and their catchy beats, this is an album worth buying, especially if you can get it at a used price. This album also contains several tracks with samples of some old school jams, so don't be surprised if you find yourself getting caught up listening to some of the nice old school-flavored tracks.

2 out of 5 stars Not as bad as most say but nothing special.......2006-07-17

Thug World Order isn't a CD for the casual listener. If you're looking to get into Bone Thugs-N-Harmony I would STRONGLY reccommend E.1999 Eternal and The Art of War first. If you like that stuff (you most likely will), then go from there.

This CD is known by most Bone fans as not being very strong. I hated it at first but now I listen to a lot of the songs on an everyday basis. It's definitely got some songs that feel like filler but it's got some classics on it as well.

BEFORE YOU READ THIS, YOU MUST KNOW, I'M KIND OF A HARSH GRADER:

5/5- Amazing Song. A classic. Will play it repeatedly.
4/5- Very, very good song, close to being a classic.
3/5- Good song, not great. Worth listening to anytime.
2/5- Not a song I like really, but I'll listen to it.
1/5- Songs I always avoid.

Here's how the tracks breakdown:

1. T.W.O. Intro: N/A- A nice intro to open up the album.

2. Bone Bone Bone: 3/5- Has some nice flows on it. When it goes "BONE THUGS!" after every couple lines it's a little annoying but you get over it.

3. Guess Who's Back: 1/5- Just not a fun song in any way. Lame hook, weak beat and verses.

4. Home: 4/5- Very good song, features Phil Collins (Home was originally his song). Laid back feel, good verses.

5. What About Us: 1/5- The kids singing in the chorus are just annoying. Boring song again.

6. Get Up & Get It: 2/5- Still not a song I'm a big fan of but it's not half bad.

7. Bad Weed Blues: 1/5- I'm really not a fan of any of Bone's drug songs (they have a ton). This one is one of the worst.

8. All The Way: 1/5- I don't know how to explain it, Bone just doesn't bring it on this one either, like a lot of the songs on here.

9. Non Fiction Words by Eazy-E: N/A- Just Eazy E talking about how everything Bone sings about on their records is true.

10. Pump, Pump: 3/5- Pretty sweet song, one of their most raw. Pretty dark. The verses are pretty good.

11. Set it Straight: 2/5- Decent beat, decent verses. Not bad.

12. Money, Money: 3/5- Pretty good song, very good verses all aroudn. Song tends to drag on near the end.

13. Not My Baby: 5/5- One of my top 10 Bone songs ever. Talks about girls trying to act like Bone got them pregnant so they can get mad $$$ from them. Sounds stupid but Bone pulls it off nicely.

14. Cleveland is the City: 4/5- Very good song, giving a lot of people in Cleveland props and shoutouts. Bizzy talking at the end maybe ruins this one from being a 5/5. Great song, regardless.

15. If I Fall: 5/5- Awesome song. Very inspirational. If you need a song to lift you up, this one's it. It's got great quotes that I live by everyday. Some people say the chorus is lame but it doesn't bother me at all.

16. A Thug Nation Soldier Conversation- Just a skit, to tell you the truth, I've never heard it, but it's just a skit so it shouldn't matter.

All in all, Thug World Order is worth owning if you're a serious Bone Thugs fan. Though it starts weak, if finishes strong. If you're looking to get into BTNH, avoid this one until you've heard their other stuff.
