Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Tha House is here .......2005-07-05

I have to give this 4 stars as I would already consider this a modern day CLASSIC. If you like westcoast rap you are a fool for not buying this. The rooster says it all: Snoop Dogg, Soopafly, E-White, LaToiya, RBX, Kokane & Daz with beats by Quaze, Fred Wreck, DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Soopafly, Meech Wells and others.

Im a big Kokane fan, and since this has Kokane on six tracks I couldnt be happier. It's also good to see good ol' RBX do his thang on this (even do his "Remember Me?" routine is getting a bit old). But a really good CD; and of course the Doggystyle All-Stars DVD is a must too!

3 out of 5 stars Another mediocre effort from Snoop.......2004-10-25

This album is mediocre and has no great tracks. It has some booming production on some tracks and horrible on others. Hi Tek did 4 songs, Meech Wells, Soopafly each did 2, and EZ Elpee, ALChemist, Fred Wreck, DJ Premier, DJ Slip, DJ Scratch, Quaze, Vinnie Bernard, Michael Angelo, Nottz, Ep all do 1 song. it does have the nice voice of Latoiya Williams (I'm not and R&B fan and I don't think she fits in on this album at all) and it has a little too much of Kokane's whiney-voiced hooks. Features newcomer E-White who has mediocre ability and old-timer raspy/harsh voiced RBX, as well as Snoop Dogg himself. It has 8 songs I skip, 8 are ok, and the other 3 are good. Not highly recommended by me.

#2 - 7 (Snoop, Kokane, E-White, Latoiya Williams, Soopafly)
#3 - 7 (Soopafly, RBX, Snoop, E-White)
#4 - 2 (Latoiya Williams)
#5 - 7 (Soopafly, E-White, Kokane)
#6 - 7 (E White, RBX)
#7 - 6.5 (Snoop & Kokane)
#8 - 8 (Soopafly)
#9 - 7.5 (Soopafly, Snoop, E White)
#10 - 8 (Daz Dillinger, Soopafly, E White, Snoop, Kokane)
#11 - 7 (Snoop, Soopafly, Nate Dogg, Lady May & Cam'ron)
#12 - 5 (Lady Of Rage)
#13 - 6 (RBX, Snoop & Kokane)
#14 - 2 (Reo Varnado & Vinnie Bernard)
#15 - 3 (LaToiya Williams)
#16 - 7.5 (Prodigy (of Mobb Deep), Soopafly, Kokane, Special Ed)
#17 - 8 (Soopafly & Latoiya Williams)
#18 - 1 (Vinnie Bernard)
#19 - 7 (Too Cool, Young Buc, J-Dog, Snoop Dogg, Leicy Loc)
#20 - 6.5 (RBX, Snoop, Kokane, Soopafly)

5 out of 5 stars LaToiya Williams is the new Queen of Soul.......2002-12-05

OK, I have to admit first that I haven't heard all of this album yet. But I have heard the LaToiya Williams-tracks. She is amazing; Aretha Franklin, Belita Woods and Chaka Khan rolled into one and then some. Mary J Blige or Angie Stone are not even in the same league as Latoiya Williams. Don't mistake this for old skool 70s retro. Fallen Star is a very sophisticated production that expands the g-funk style. Moving from the negativity of the gangsta-era to these positive vibes Snoop proves himself to be a bigger man than the likes of Suge Knight. Latoiya Williams' voice is full of love. This is what we need now.

4 out of 5 stars More RBX please.......2002-11-27

This album is pretty good. Snoop has proved himself to be a leading executive rap producer. He really is on top form these days. I had to buy this album cos I buy everything Snoop does, plus I can't get enough of RBX. I didn't like Soopafly's solo album but his rapping and production is much better on this album. I still won't be tempted to buy his next releaase though. E White is good and Kokane and Latoya Williams are excellent as ever. Still I probably won't be tempted to buy their solo albums either. I want an RBX album. I think he's just being lazy not making one. He raps on the odd song, on the odd album, but features several times here. Yet he's the only one of the Allstars who isn't planning a solo album anytime soon. Get to work Naborator, yes I remember you. You drop bombs, you have no remorse, but do you make albums?

5 out of 5 stars One of the Slept on Albums of 2002.......2002-11-14

I had my doubts on this one. I went ahead and purchased and liked it. Snoop gives a of producers- Buckwild, Hi-Tek, & Soopafly. All the beats are coo and everyone comes off nice. My favorite tracks are "Dogg House America", "Not Like It Was", "Doh Doh", "Are You Ready", "Light That S-- Up", and a few others. This is a must add to your cd collection.
