Has a few of the funkiest cuts from Duke.......2005-12-26
In short, Duke surrounds himself with such an immensely talented musicians that whatever he ends up producing (jazz, funk, R&B, etc.) really shows their caliber. While this is not Duke's best R&B/funk oriented album, it is worth a listen if you have not had the pleasure of getting down with it.

"Where you at, whoadie? / I'm over here, whoadie!" As the hip-hop ice age begins to thaw, it's become apparent that Master P's the megamogul who holds the Dirty South's attention. But just when you thought he'd gone as far as possible, Master P takes his career to the next level. Game Face, his first album since signing a major partnership deal with Universal Records, moves P into the international zone. The music is still the same blend of booty bass beats and bubblegum pop hooks, but production values are extra crispy clean and P's vocals have acquired a suppleness that was missing in his earlier records. Lil' Romeo, C-Murder, and Silkk the Shocker play major roles in this game, lending support on "Ghetto Ballin'" and "Back on Top," while newcomer Sera-Lynn adds flair to the square biz bounce of "Real Love." Game Face shows why Master P is a hip-hop soldier with no limit. --Rebecca LevineCustomer Reviews:

GameFace by Master P.......2006-02-14
Music mogul Master P has a rich, glorious legacy in rap, but Game Face is by far the worst album he has released. With his new deal with Universal and the erection of The New No Limit, the hype put into this album was just that - hype.
Produced by the likes of Soulja Music, Neptunes, Dr. Dre, and Timbaland, and featuring the No Limit Soldiers, you might accuse P of selling the farm for quick sales. But Out of 14 songs there are only a possible five songs that you can listen to and enjoy.
One of the better songs is "The Block," a touching a song about his mother being absent as he flipped drugs on the harsh New Orleans streets. This album is family affair all right. Unfortunately for the aging P, his own son outshines his father on each song ("Ghetto Ballin" and "Back On Top") that he is featured on.
His single "Ooohhhwee," featuring new No Limit Soldier 5th Ward Weebie, basically tells you what you are going to get on Game Face. You get a ghetto ballin', bragging, thuggin', No Limit family trying to get being back on top. Game Face contains many samples from old classics, which make for P treading on material that should have been left in the Puffy-era. Sorry to say, but his album makes his previous album Ghetto Postage look like Nas' classic album Illmatic.
If Game Face indicative of the New No Limit, listeners are certain to quickly move on to the next new thing.

According to Ron Mann, technique is only one facet of your golf performance; your mental state is another. While this isn't exactly a revolutionary concept, Mann actually attempts to give you the mental tools needed on the course. By teaching relaxation, visualization, and concentration techniques, this CD hopes to lessen the stress (and strokes) that find their way into your game. On his introduction to this three-track CD, Mann explains this concept and the exercises that follow. The second track features Mann taking you into a hypnotically induced trance state through breathing exercises. The key here is focusing your energy, a habit that you can hopefully bring to the fairway. Does it work? That depends. Those cynical to New Age principles may have trouble following Mann's instructions, but the rest of us duffers can't hurt from this disc. Mann talks us through the perfect swing (you have a perfect swing, don't you?) and how to make solid contact with the ball, basically walking us through the course and all the difficulties that await. And, with golf courses at their most crowded and green fees ever increasing, a little relaxation can go a long way. The CD liner notes promise to take at least three strokes off your game. Not bad for a little hypnosis. --Jason VerlindeAlbum Description
Your golf game is a mirror of yourself. Los Angeles-based psychologist Dr. Ron Mann knows what all the world's greatest golfers know -- that the game is at least as much mental as it is physical. "The top-performing golfers, like all top-performing athletes, enter a state currently being called the Zone," he notes on his instructional CD Find The Zone: Master the Mental Game of Golf. "It's the state of being in which athletes find peak performance."Mann, a golfer for 30 years, explains, "The Zone is a different state of awareness, and in this state you are able to perform at your best. Time changes, perceptions change and great results happen with what seems like little or no effort." The real question, Mann poses, is how to access the Zone? And that's what his instructional CD is all about. It's both a well researched scientific overview of the latest information on peak sports performance and practical "How To" techniques to apply these principles to your golf game. Track One is a fascinating presentation of current sports psychology and research on the mind-body connection and the Zone experience. Mann points out that "there is a mind-body relationship that can be developed through the use of mental imagery. Thinking and imagining hitting a golf ball actually activates minute muscle movements ... so mental imagery can be used as mental practice to prepare oneself...." Mann also stresses the importance of our beliefs about our capacity. "It is unlikely," he notes, "that one's body will do more than one's mind believes is possible. When one's belief system opens, then greater achievements seem possible." Track One concludes with Mann's unique perspective on the game. "Golf is more than just a game," he reflects. "It is also a clear mirror that reflects your personality, your character and your style of dealing with life. You can learn a tremendous amount about yourself as you work on the mental aspect of your golf game. You can learn to be more relaxed, more intuitive, more trusting of your innate abilities and wiser in the way you live your life." On Track Two, Mann presents techniques to help the golfer increase their "receptivity for the Zone." Through a combination of relaxation, breathing and imagery exercises, the listener is introduced to a state of being that makes the Zone more accessible. After practicing the exercises, what's been learned can more easily be "remembered" by both the body and mind when on the golf course. The techniques emphasize ten basic points -- 1. Be physically and mentally relaxed. 2. Learn to breathe correctly. 3. Stay in the present. 4. Stop worrying about your life and your golf game. 5. Visualize each shot before hitting the ball. 6. Feel your body making the right swing and hitting the ball perfectly. 7. Give your complete attention to each shot and forget about your score. 8. Trust your brain's computer. 9. Develop a positive state of mind. 10. Let go of all of your expectations about how each game is supposed to go.
On the CD Mann says, "These techniques work! In the last few weeks I have spent a lot of time in my recording studio working on this tape and really using the material. Two weeks ago I played 18 holes at Granite Bay Country Club in Sacramento. This was the first time I had played Granite Bay and it is considered to be a relatively difficult course. I shot a 77 that day! What makes this fact so amazing is that this was the first time I had broken 80 in the thirty years I've been playing golf. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not!" Who knows. But for the price of an audio CD and the few hours required to learn the techniques, it's a way to take advantage of what the world's best golfers know. No serious golfer would want to pass up that opportunity. "Besides," Mann points out, "these are the principles that make your whole life work. So what've you got to lose!"

A Great Learning Adventure.......1999-09-21
Great golfers are simply ordinary people who continually put themselves in a learning environment and are willing to risk the "tried and not-so-true" in the face of unpredictable outcomes. Ron Mann's "Find the Zone" is that kind of learning adventure. He presents the golfer with the opportunity to play freely and creatively and to explore new horizons which may give benefits beyond the game itself.
It is, unequivically, the finest approach that I have heard........1999-09-21
It is unequivically, the finest application of the mental side of this crazy game that I have listened to.
I particularly related to the mental image aspects of the CD. Like many, I am certain that a golfer must first "see" a shot in his mind before he can properly and consistently execute it. Beyond that, the golfer must believe they can hit the shot. From a personal standpoint, I know that my mental image of the shot on a par three is much more vivid than on the others shots. While I still don't know exactly why that is, I feel that this tape will assist me in taking this tremendous assest to the other swings.
"The Zone" will now be a part of my pre-round routine. By applying what I hear on the tape, it is now my hope to shave a few shots of my total, but more impacting, maybe add a few years to my life!
Again, thanks and "May the Zone Be With You!"
Mancil Davis, King of the Aces
This CD can benefit all levels of golfers........1999-05-17
I would highly recommend the CD and would like to give my endorsement on the product. I feel that this area of the game and the focus on controlling the mind is the next step of advancing one's game.
