Boisterous and unsubtle, the tunes found on the Benjamins soundtrack are filled with endless references to money. Mya calls it "Cream Cheese"; FT and the M.A.F.I.A. let us know they dream of getting "Money All the Time"; Puffy and crew claim "It's All About the Benjamins." The subject matter isn't exactly original, but it does go along with the paper-chasin' diamond-heist plot of the flick it supports. Benjamins leans heavily on previously released and well-known tunes like the O'Jays' classic "For the Love of Money" and BG's trendsetting anthem "Bling Bling," but there are a few gems waiting to be discovered, such as a lush remix of progressive hip-hop diva Mystic's "Destiny Complete," the down-and-dirty Southern growl of Trina's "I Told Y'all," and the playful, post-bop jazz styling of John Handy's "Hard Work." --Rebecca Levine

This cd is really hot. One of the best songs on it is Puffy's All About the Benjamins. I agree too that they should have Ice Cube on it but at least they put the song that goes with the title on here.

puff daddy is poor.......2001-02-16

This is not real rap it's teeny pop music, the lyrics are appalling rapped in a terribly monotonous way, with corny backing music. Puff daddy is a rubbish rapper anyone who buys his music should be ashamed of themselves and obviously doesn't know what real rap is. This is poor.

Puffy Shows Rap Who's The Best.......1999-03-27

I am not that big of a fan of rap music, but I do generally like all of Bad Boy's hits because of the awesome style and beat they have. I have to say, that in the Bad Boy family and the collection of hip hop, rap, dance, and r&b music, this is the best song that I have heard. It combines the power and feel of only the greatest rap with the heaviest guitar piece I've ever heard and tops it all off with the lyrics of such great rappers as Lil' Kim, and the late Notorious B.I.G., and the solid guitar of only Fuzzbubble. It's truly the greatest rap song I've heard and has a video that will rock you like only Puffy could. Master P and the late 2Pac should have payed more attention to Bad Boy to learn how to make a good song.

I think that this CD is hot. It was a cd that I think will never leave my CD changer. No matter who you are, your going to like All About The Benjamins Compilation. Some of the artist on this albumn are new and I believe their destined for superstardom. I think that Dream Reality will probably be the next Murder Inc Records, Bad Boy Records, or No Limit. The artist they have such as Trivia and Eliotness are on there way, plus you've got some major superstar talent like Cee-Lo from Goodie Mob and much more are guest on this album. I also brought Trivia, "The Manual" wich was also a hip hop classic. I think she's the best female rapper I've ever heard.
