A Must Have.......2006-02-28

If you like Rap, especially Christian Rap, this album is a must have. From start to finish the story of this album unfolds beautifully and flawlessly. With the benefit of 3 mc's you never find yourself bored and the music is especially well produced. Unfortunately, I can't say any newer releases by priesthood showed this unique and uncompromising effort. This is a "great" album through and through and worth every penny.

Recently a guy from my job kicked me a cd of these dudes Priesthood...
and I loved it. These dudes wrote some tight music. Ok, yeah, you can see that they really loved 2pac.
So do I...and at first it really bothered me how these guys- Priesthood nailed the 2pac vibe and even used his rhymes and phrasing , but, then I excepted the fact that the kids coming up these daze are influenced by the
leaders of the pack---like Pac and the Bone Thugs. So after I got over that issue...I found that I really did enjoy this album and the uplifting spirit in which the kids came forth . Check it out for yourself. For a
minute, if you squint your eyes and relax, on several pieces they kinda fool you and you think for a moment
that it really is 2pac. It fooled one of my home girls one day and then she got mad cuz it was'nt Pac...oh well...say-law-vee...check it out...and be pleasantly surprised...

I recently saw Priesthood at Raul Ries's Somebody Loves You Crusade in San Bernandino, Ca. and they had a mixture of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony beat & Tupak with a Positive message. Anybody having a info about getting thier C.D. earlier than Jan. 2000 would be greatly appreciated.

Defintely Turn Up Your Radio.......2006-06-15

I just love this CD. In fact I had to buy one for my husband because he wanted to keep my copy in his truck. This is definitly a CD in which I Turn My Radio Up. The way these young men flow with their words and verses really gets one in the spirit to praise, worship, and bounce your head to the beat. I now have all 3 CD's that these young men have put out, and I just love them. Keep em comin~

WOW!!!!! If your teens find traditional church music too boring this is definitely the cd to buy for them. These talented young warriors for Christ have combined the popular rap/hip-hop beat and great positive rap lyrics. Their words of testimony inspire young and old to trust in Christ. Not only have I listened to their cd, but I have also had the piviledge of seeing them preform in person!

3.5 stars from Priest for his 3rd solo.......2005-06-03

After one year since he dropped "View From Masada" (my personal favorite of his 4 albums) Priest returns with my least favorite of his four, but still a 3.5 star rating. His lyrics are on point as always, dark and religiously aware, but the production is lacking a lot on this one, other then a few tracks most are only ok. Nirocist does 7 of the 15 songs, Luminati does 4, Nastee does 2, Pedrom, Daddy Rose, Amended Masters all do 1. It has 1 classic, 1 almost classic song, 4 I skip, 3 are ok, the rest are good. No Wu members are a part of the album, guest rap on 2 songs and do a few hooks. A good album to have for fans of his but not his best work.

Killah Priest Most Underated Ever.......2004-02-26

This album is more harder to find then any other album ever made i don't even think it ships here this album is scary material but impecciable material as well. Why he was rejected from wu tang and commercial status i will never know the album is filled with dope beats and tracks check out: madness,horsemen talk and c u when i get there killah u r my hero. 4 Horsemen!

A 4 star album here. This album is not a 3.5 stars or a 4.5 star rating. Just a pure simple 4 star rating. 4 star rating from me is astonishing.

Killah Priest is a well self educated emcee. "Priesthood" is his best album to date and will probably be either his last or next to last album. He might bless us with one more. His last album effort "View from Masada" was not exactly what Killah Priest fans expected. His first album "Heavy Mental" is above most hip-hop albums.

There are tracks on Priesthood that make this album shine. Timeless cuts like "My Life" and "My Hood" with a few others, but also there are a few tracks that are not exactly great material. Tracks like "Heat of the Moment" and "Theme Song" but overall this album is nice considering what hip-hop has become lately.

Priesthood breaks down the basic facts of street life and the struggle of religion. If you wish to elevate your mind and catch a heavy mental of what hip-hop should be more like, then check this album out. When you check it out, listen to it a few times before you make a decision of how ill this work of art really can be.

Golden Glory.......2001-11-14

Killah Priest returns with his third album, Priesthood. Although I enjoyed Priesthood, becuase it is five times better than last years View From Masada, it still could use some work. The production of the album is really cheap and boring, there are no standout beats that force you to feel the song, the producers only attempt to make heartfelt beats. I have been a Killah Priest fan since I heard him on the Gza's tape and I try to support everything he does, but this album is not too great. As usual, Killah Priest spits exceptional lyrics with a spiritual twist, and even though his lines are not as deep as his first album, Heavy Mental, he does showcase his ridiculous skill.
The albums drawback, aside from WEAK production is the monotony of subject matter. The only true standout track is the joint featuring the Four Horsemen. The rest of the album seems to be an attempt to remake Heavy Mental. It's a decent album, but I know Killah Priest can do better.

The whole album's tight!.......2002-12-30

Tiko & Gitta come wit it on this album. They really give it to you... passion, lyrics of depth, phat beats, hot topics, ... tru dancehall w/ a true sense of roots reggae!! I rate their voices around a 3 1/2 out of 5, but don't be confused 'cause they have MUCH vocal flava and sincerity. Christ is clearly the head of this group and you can tell all thru out the album. I'm honored to be the first to review it. If you like the sample audio clips... the rest won't disappoint u. (You'll find a couple of nice Praise/Worship songs on here, too.) Their mix down sounds a bit generic, though. (I don't know if that's a Trinidad ting or someting, but it works.) Bonus: The words come with it!
