Tight.......2005-09-30

I ordered this CD & it came pretty soon unbroken, unbattered. The CD is good if you like hardcore, dancehall reggae. There are a few things that will surprise you, but they only give you a look into the everyday world of Jamaica's hoods (similar to the ones in the US). If you like to listen or dance, you'll like this one.

Jamaican gay men and lesbians are increasingly under attack because of the murderous content of dancehall from T.O.K. - crazy beats for sure.
From the Guardian U.K.: "As a black gay man of Jamaican descent, let me translate a few typical lyrics from the patois. 'Shoot a bullet in a gay man's spine' (Vybz Kartel); "Queers who get together in a car ... let's burn them, burn them!" (TOK). Biggy C and co's silly remarks are representative of people who care for nothing but having a good time and believe issues like homophobia, sexism and racism are irrelevant.
